HotshotVQ35 10-03-2006 03:54 PM

alicious 10-03-2006 04:09 PM

G, your my boy and all but man those really don't do anything for your max to me. What made you decide to go with those??
I dunno, maybe it's a bad pic or something, post up more pics....and next time post her in the members forums

upstatemax 10-03-2006 04:18 PM

after reading your sig... You should have put a DARK tint on all glass (including windshield).

jeepik 10-03-2006 04:24 PM

looks good..sort of looks like an ssr knockoff

put the redline bumper on again and then take some pics

Metal Maxima 10-03-2006 04:29 PM

You replaced your stock OEM wheels for an ill-matched knock off of equivalent diameter FTcheap.

What do I win?

nothing! they're 18's. You lose.

Besides, I needed new tires anyway and I got a deal on the set. They're 20 lbs each so they're lighter than the stockers.

irish44j 10-03-2006 04:34 PM

I know, I know!!!

You mounted a small telephone pole on your hood!

George, take those wheels to a shop and have them paint that polished lip to match the rest of the wheel...then it will look great.

:shiner:

Do I at least get partial credit? If so, please use the funds that were to be appropriations for the winning vote towards obtaining centercaps for the wheels. :o

I need them. Any idea where to find deep centers?

wait till you see it in person. That pic was a bad one since the lighting sucked (dusk during a rain storm doesn't exactly give great pics).

SoonerFan 10-03-2006 05:25 PM

not feeling those.
are they gonna be on all the time? or just for auto-x?

SoonerFan 10-03-2006 05:31 PM

my wheels own yours :wall:
i like them cause they are different enough but not to much. i like subtle

My wheels are half the weight of yours.

The R74s in 18x7.5 weigh 22lbs. each, and your 235/40/18 HR2's weigh 24lbs each.

Jason's 350z wheels (17x7.5/8) weigh 23.2lbs (front)/24.1lbs (rear), and his 225/45/17 R-S2's weigh 22.5 lbs each.

You: 46lbs per wheel/tire

Jason: 45.7(f)/46.6(r) per wheel/tire.

I'd call it a draw.

btw, my trackers:

245/45/17 tires (shaved) @ 24lbs each + 17x8 wheels @ 17lbs each = 41lbs per wheel/tire running a wider tread, FTW :grinno:

NmexMAX 10-03-2006 06:01 PM

Looks as if you added a lift kit.. SkyJacker or Fabtech?

Mass_Media 10-03-2006 06:25 PM

4x4 FTMFL!!!!!

my car sits 2" lower than stock. It was a bad pic already! I'll get a better one up when I have the time.

Whoa whoa... so you're listing different weights for his front and rear 350Z 17'' wheels WITHOUT tires on them? I have those wheels. I got the 17'' wheels off a wrecked 350Z to replace my stock SE titanium wheels. I knew that the 350Z had wider TIRES on the rear, but I was under the impression that all four wheels were actually the same size. Sorry if that is a stupid assumption to make, but it didn't seem that far fetched to me.

I'm using the same size tires on all four of my 350Z wheels, but if the wheels themselves are different sizes, that may explain why I can't seem to get rid of the weird vibration I get at highway speeds no matter how many times I go for alignment/balancing.

UMD_MaxSE 10-04-2006 07:11 AM

How about we play lets lock the thread instead?

spiromax 10-04-2006 07:17 AM

Crap... I just looked it up, and you're right. The 17'' wheels are different widths on front and rear. All my tires are the same size, so it's not like I'm THAT worried, but if I have both of the heavier wheels on one side of the car, or if I have them at opposite corners of the car, that could go a long way toward explaining the mysterious highway vibration.

20max01 10-04-2006 07:37 AM

Not feeling them myself...but if you like them that is what counts.

I prefer the "move the thread" game... :wavey:

Stillen Maxima 10-04-2006 07:53 AM

Im late to the thread. I think i would have been the first one to get the question right the very first time.:hide:

Mr. J 10-04-2006 11:55 AM

they look good but i guess its the pic cuz for 18's they look tinnie winnie

99grnmaxgxe 10-04-2006 03:06 PM

Clear bumper lights and rims, needs tint and a lowering.

there's no problem with running the same tires on all 4 since the rims are only 1/2" difference. My G35 17's that i run in the winter are staggered also, but I have the same 4 tires on them.

You might have a point about having 2 8" on the right and 2 7.5" on the left though - look on the back of the spokes and it will tell you what the wheel width is and probably also will say "front" or "rear" on the wheel.

then you can just rotate the wheels to get it right, though you might have to remount a couple tires if you have directionals.

Raze R74's

DrKlop 10-04-2006 04:48 PM

Let's hope that it's a bad pic... ;)

Fr33way™ 10-04-2006 05:36 PM

I don't think it suits your "wine-collection" tastes but if you like them!

Wisky97SE 10-04-2006 08:52 PM

They look like a wheel Rays make, in fact, the wheels look pretty good - the angle of the pic is very unflattering, it exaggerates the wheelgap.

Some coilovers and i'd bet people would say your car is teh sex.

crispykid717 10-04-2006 11:38 PM

Thumbs way down
