My '98 with '93 Mazda RX7 13.8lb 16x8's. I know Ludacris had these years ago but thought I would share. 5mm spacers not installed in picture.

You would need a fist sized spacer with this offset (50mm) LOLz.

Offset isn't the problem. My wheels are 45mm offset. It's the diameter. My brakes are just about touching my 17s...

I take it these are the hollow spokes, watch out for cracks as they are fragile. A Max is heavier than the 7 so its possible they *could* break.

Are you going to run without centercaps? These are what I wanted to get originally but a set was really hard to come by, especially for cheap. I found the Z32TTs first. How about a few pics with the wheels straight to see how they flush up? :hs:

The dust cap isn't the issue, when the lugs are "tight" (or rather at the end of the lug) the wheel is tight but the rotor floats about 3-5mm. I knew I needed spacers in the rear but when I mocked up the rears for clearance everything was fine, it wasn't until I took a 35ft drive that I heard some chirping (rotor float).

The tires are Toyo Proxies FZ-4 which I had (another set) on my SE's. The level of grip I would say is 7.5/10 but they are very predictable and wear evenly which are important factors to me. They are 225/50/R16's on all corners.

I paid $280 with 2,500 or so miles on the tires.

I'll have to get it weighed but I figure my car around 3,000lbs in street trim and the tires have some decent meat on them so I should be ok. I will check them as I spend alot of time under my car (even when it's running fine) anyway.

The "logo" on the grill is similar to the Independent "cross" logo. It came from a breather filter I sacrificed. It was kind of a joke when I put it on and was planning on getting a Nissan emblem the next day but it actually looks good. I don't think I'll ever really be happy with my grill until I find an S5 grill I can paint black, but how heavy are those....

Morpheus- The front axle prevents the centercaps from coming anywhere close to fitting. I will probably paint my rear dustcaps black. There will be some shots, good bit of pollen around now and I want to get it aligned before I drive out for a shoot. The fronts push out to the corners just right, the rears are still going to be tucked a little.

Those 97-99 SE's fit the 3rd gen really well IMO. (looks wise)

Hum. At first I thought running without centercaps was cool/badass, since you could see the axle end and pin, but then I looked at the axle. Not attractive unless you fancy keeping it clean (no thanks). Still, it looks great. Now get some lightweight tires to go with 'em. :) (Toyos are usually pretty light though)

I am a bit more form over function so they look fine to me, and yes my axles are nice and clean. Those cetercaps have to be 2.5 ounces a piece too....

Oh so open ended lug nuts would work to set them flush then.
225's on a 8" wide.... you must plan on going wider at some point. I used to think my 235/40's were wide, ha nope!

Sounds like it. That will potentially be teh secks. Not sure how much I'd trust my wheels not being snug against the rotor though.

I think 245 or 255 is pretty much as wide as you want to go on a 4th gen, in front at least. And staggered on a FWD car is :007:

Thing is, on THESE wheels going wider than 225 would require spacers all around. It's really odd I found these in this size.

I could measure the distance but I would guess around 12-14mm.

I had a couple of sets of aftermarket wheels I liked better (I prefer black/dark gunmetal on my red car), but these wheels were super, super cheap, so I can't complain. It's hard to justify spending almost as much as my car is worth on wheels.

I like the RX wheels you have, I think they might work very well on a 3rd gen, but I am not sure about the offset in the rear. I am going to look out for a set of them locally.

I bought my old set off a guy with a 3rd gen, they gave a great stance on the 3rd gen. IIRC the wheels were about flush with the body...I think he put 5mm spacers on the rear to fit them.

So is the offset the same front and rear? Are the rims the same? they look different front and rear for some reason. Probably just an illusion. I'm considering these for the front at least on track days.

4th gen's track in the rear is smaller than it is in front. As a result, wheels with the same offset are more flush put up front then in back.
