what kinda paint did you use, dupliclolor wheel paint?

Lumberg™ 12-15-2007 07:04 PM

I hate muranos on our cars but to each their own and nice job painting them things.

mynameispee 12-15-2007 07:07 PM

looking great, what kind of paint?

Delvin 12-15-2007 07:08 PM

Wow someones got mad skillz when it comes to the paint yo!

But seriously, the paint job looks good on the example you showed.

99black5spd 12-15-2007 07:25 PM

the paint was duplicolor "high performance wheel paint" and clear coat. 4 coats primer, 3 coats paint, 3 coats clear. give props to my older brother, he did all the work, school pays off. THANKS STEVE

Eh.

Throw some repainted Monaros on that *****, then come back. I'm curious to see how they will look on the car.

99black5spd 12-15-2007 07:37 PM

I know how normal muranos look on a 4th gen. I'm curious how the repainted ones will look.

OT from the wheels but I bet you can pull that dent out with a plunger :wall: or just hit it out by hand.

I like it a lot..
what temp is it in AZ for you to be able to paint on a cold surface ( paint bonding to surface)..?

btw, love the last pic.. the sheen :D

Drockb418 12-15-2007 09:50 PM

i like that dent in the back haha

Fr33way™ 12-15-2007 11:27 PM

They came out nice.

maximaserg 12-16-2007 02:12 AM

looks awesome.

Just be careful with diplicolor paint, i repainted a set of rims.

Primed, used a crap load of paint, a bunch of clear coat and then a lil while later it starter chippin a lil.

But i had other friends who never had problems.

Squirrel82 12-16-2007 06:25 AM

Came out good.

Looks good in the camera phone quality pictures. take some pics with a decent camera when you install the wheels please!

djfrestyl 12-17-2007 03:36 PM

I had very bad luck with Duplicolor clear coat.

Came out VERY cloudy. And yes, I know how to paint.

Good job on yours though :)

Oh and excellent choice of wheels ;)
