dude it is really different in Georgia. I know all the big 510 boys around here and they've already done everything but nobody is currently running a SR in one in the Atlanta area. Of course sr20 240sx are a dime a dozen all over the city but theres a couple rotary and KA 510s amongst other swaps whizzing around, SR is actually not the norm I thought about sticking a wrx motor in there but I don't know how easy that would be as i dont know about RWD tranny options! could be fun

I had an early 68' with the revised frt x-member and shorter front struts. Ran a 1600 SSS motor. 280zx struts/brakes. Quickor frt/rear bars and 810 maxima wheels. Then ran turbo 200sx wheels.
Then I had a 70. Ran a 1800sss motor with the same mods. Had a build L20B with an original Cartech turbo kit but never put it in. Also had a JDM 12A turbo but again, never ran it.
SR20DET is the best choice. Small, light and very powerful. Even a measly 200hp would be scary.

That's so not out of the picture now that my old ball 1st gen G might have a legitimate ecu flashing option now. CobbTuning. I'm supposed to prototype one soon. Up to now, the only ecu option I had was TS and you have to send them your ecu. All other G/Zs have multiple options for tuning.
I was looking at the STS turbo. Yeah sorta cheeso but the dynos are impressive on it.

just fixing some surface rust / getting the car painted.
a pretty stock sr20det transplant
upgraded brakes and misc important parts like that.
Leave the factory interior in there for a while, it's in real good shape.
Go from there

i've been trying to get one for 6 years. My 280 was a backthought as I got sick of waiting.. but the 280z really grew on me, but between it and this I have always loved the 510 the most. It's going to be my daily driver
