met up with Tallkid2201 this weekend and attempted to black out my bumper lights with a can of nightshade....well i got a little carried away and now theyre black.
at first i couldnt decide how i liked em, but now i think they are too dark for the rest of the car.
ill be getting a pair of charcoal ones from ebay or end up trading for a new clear set from an org member...

Underbody is CLEAN!!!!!
I like your car man, and you have a great post going here.
Love the Altima SE-R wheels! If it wasnt for the new coupe that just came out, I'd find myself buying an Altima SE-R when I started working fulltime again! The coupe's just too sweet looking.
White 4th gens = (L)
Cheers!

yea i plan on getting some tokico blues and H-techs in the next few weeks.
i actually like the chrome grill. it matches the doorhandles and trim around the doors, plus it kinda of matches the housing of the R34s.

The grille is a keeper. After drop, your gonna b so much happier.

i just happened to be passing through, great thread BTW i might have to do one myself lol, if u want good lowering springs get H&Rs, i have both H&Rs on Eibachs and the H&Rs are much better and look better u will not have any wheel gap up in the front and no rear sag and they cannot be beat in ride quality, best choice for a DD if u ask me

wow i think i want my 4th gen back,
white on a 4th gen looks awesome,
had some color as you but 98,
drop it! believe me its worth it, i got my rims before the drop,
if i could go back i would do it the opposite,
u should get the smoked bumper lights,
did you put hid's in your once piece?
i had the same r34s but they were chrome, and the lighting was ****,

Damn man nice story. Your max is really clean. alot cleaner than mine. But anyways nice. Not a huge fan of those rims not sure why. I think it might because they are so squared off, i like the more rounded off rims with a maxima since the body is so round. Nice job on the clears havn't tried to tackle that one yet maybe soon.

Well not much has happened over the past few months because Ive been stuck on this erratic starting issue, but it finally has been resolved and Im going to continue on with the various cosmetic and maintenance mods.....till I drop it around Christmas.
What was causing my warm-starting/choking issue was TOO MUCH RTV SILICONE SEALANT on the NWP spacer kit.
The excess RTV had formed kind of a little arm that sat directly underneath the fuel injectors, so when they sprayed gas into the cylinder, a little collected on the RTV and slowly dripped down as time passed.
When I shut the car off, the gas would drip down and flood the cylinder, causing a sputter/choke upon reignition.
Here is a picture of WHAT NOT TO DO when installing gaskets:
I also swapped out all of the injector o-rings (also in an attempt to fix this problem) but it turned out they were pretty good to begin with...
Here is what an injector looks like for all you noobs (I had never seen one before this either):
My next step, which was actually done before the injector inspection, was replacing the horribly corroded and trashed battery cables.
I thought it would be a relatively easy job, but I was WAY wrong...
Its not difficult to figure out, but there were so many rusted/corroded connections and screws, it took a good hour of undoing things before it could get started.
Here is the old positive:
And the old negative:
Also, at the suggestion of various maxima.org people, I replaced the ECTS (engine coolant temperature sensor) to help with my warm-start issue.
I figured this would be a hard and difficult job, but it took litterally less than 5 minutes.

Anyway, after that was all done I decided I would clean the IACV again, in case that was also causing the problem.
I ordered a new gasket from DAVE B and went to work.
It was much easier the second time around, and I had a much better idea of what to look for after it was disassembled.
This is the mounting point (looking into the top of the EGR tube):
And my IACV after 8 months of use:
And the cleaning begins....
Anyway due to some financial hiccups recently I will not be dropping my car anytime soon.
The next time I post up some pics I will have modded the suspension.
