nurburgring says so
But I mainly like a proper transmission, don't think I could own a GTR.

IMO, the downside of the paddle shifters is not that they exist...but that they're stationary. they don't move with the wheel!
The sweet thing is that when you shift, it basically switches clutches, the gear was previously engaged. Gears 1,3,5 are on one shaft, and 2,4,6 on the other. For instance, you're in first gear...both first and second are "in gear." When you shift to second, it just switches clutches since it's already in 2nd gear.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how it was explained by a Nissan tech, and yes this was after he had to hop on a plane and get trained to work on the car....so I trust his word.

GTR maximum shift time=.02 seconds IIRC...I know they're paddle shifters, not a "real" trannny, but you can't beat shift times like that.

Also, "switching" clutches being disengaging one and engaging the other.
I still like to be a big boy, pick my own gears and work my own clutch. If the GTR had a real transmission then we'd be talking but cars without a third pedal just look like toys to me.
