Nice!
Out of curiosity, what was the deal with the buying situation in that it was delivered like that on a big truck? Did you buy it on eBay or something? Or is that normal for high-end cars? I guess I'm a bit naive here |
effin. sweet.

Nice! I wish your previous car would've been white! :wall:

Thanks! I had the option of going with open carrier or enclosed carrier. Going across all those states I didn't want any road debris. I worked it into the deal, and the guy I bought it from worked for AAA. I'm sure he got a discount on it. I had my Maxima delivered in an open carrier from New Jersey, and that was a short distance compared to this trip. When I got it, it was dirty as sin with soot all over it from road debris. Just a piece of mind and I would have paid for an enclosed carrier anyway.

So friggin' nice.

Damn son, super nice. That's one car I would like that have or I should say drive once lol...
|
Wowz, nice upgrade, gonna make the supercharger whistle a little more ? :D
|
Very nice choice. Huge Audi fan. Hope you enjoy the new car!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the compliments. Here's a little review of the car if anyone cares or is interested.....
At the moment it's been a garage queen this past week sitting on only 3k miles. My girlfriend and I have been commuting for 2 years since it just makes sense. On the way, schedules are the same, and saves us on gas and maintenance. Plus the downtime with the Max while I was building it got me use to it. :D Don't tell her that. lol. As far as mods go or "making the supercharger whine" :) it's in the works. I installed the APR CF intake this past weekend as you can see in the pics. The previous owner added the Magnaflow exhaust which sounds sick, but with it being a DSG transmission, it drones pretty good around 2k-2500k, and I just can't stand it. I've got an APR RSC full exhaust with downpipes (no drone guaranteed), APR Supercharger Pulley Kit (smaller diameter), and a full APR 93 Oct Tune Stage II for it. Should all be here this week or next. Have to send out the ECU for the tune, but they overnight it back same day. 2 things about this car when it comes to performance mods. The list above is about all I can do bolt-on and tune wise aside from longtube headers at this point. 30-40whp is not worth it for me to drop the motor on that mod so I can do without them. I should already be pushing around 400awhp with just the mods above. (I'm glad Audi under rates their cars' power levels.) Second thing would be, I'm glad to have only the above to do right now, because mods are obviously more expensive for this car then they were for the Maxima. I wasn't going to do anything at first for a while, but APR is having a summer sale with huge discounts, so I figured since they discount very few and far in between, and I was going to get it at some point, so why not just go ahead and get it over with. I thoroughly enjoy driving it. I've always been a manual guy, and was afraid of going with the DSG transmission. I was really afraid that I was going to have a disconnect with the driving experience without the 6-speed. Getting older and lazier I didn't feel like shifting through traffic, especially since I've gotten use to the girlfriend's automatic. All I can say is that I was utterly surprised when I drove this car. The shifts are crisp and lightning fast. The dual clutch really is something else. It is not humanly possibly for me to shift that fast. It rev matches on the downshifts for me, and I still feel like I have total control. I've only driven with the paddle shifters a few times, as I don't even feel like I need to use them except for the good ole, "click click pass" on the highway. The Quattro is also something that just handles extremely well. I've never owned a German car, nor an AWD car but they seem to really go hand in hand, cause the handling feels like there's not much for me to do to it from stock form. And some of you know how I love my coilovers. After the performance mods, coilovers will be my next step. The fit and finish is really good. I have to hand it to Audi, it's like everything they touched on this car, attention to detail was paid to. There are absolutely no rattles (so far). The doors are solid, all the buttons and knobs feel good, and the seats bolster like Recaros. The colors and instrument panel along with the Multimedia Interface (MMI) just gives a nice curb appeal. I hope to have this for a long time to come. (Yes I will still be on the org, trolling away) :D My other 2 options were an E92 and a C63 AMG. I've driven both of them, and really liked the way they handled and performed, but there were little things about them that didn't appeal to me as much. The E92 is a perfect driver's car. The interior, not so much. No offense to Bimmer guys or MrGone. :mrgone: I just didn't like the blandness of the cockpit, that and the fact that everyone and their 16 year old kid drives one in Charlotte didn't make it very exclusive here. The C63 is a really sick ride, the motor makes sounds that you could only dream about. With that said, the V8 is just a little much when it comes to fuel efficiency and the styling is a little too aged for my taste. Meaning I'm not 50+ yet. I like the exterior lines, better in the cockpit dept then the E92 also, which is sharper as well as driver oriented, but aside from the gas tax still another car that I saw more often here even in the C-class. The B8 S4 is a rarity in my area. I saw a few A4's here and there, but I've only ever seen 2 B8 S4's before this one. There also wasn't anything I didn't like about the car. It looks sleeper to the untamed eye, and flies under the radar (I need this with my years of tickets), and I really liked the interior and creature comforts I optioned it out with. I never got a chance to drive the S4 before buying this one, but I just had a feeling it was going to be great, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I did youtube drive the hell out of it if that counts. lol It took about 4 months to find this color combo and options that I wanted in a pre-owned. Ordering a new one would have taken 3 more months and would have been outside of my budget. Anyway, that's my little review of the car. I'm not sure what else to tell you except for the options it's got. Ask questions if you'd like. Thanks again for the props guys! I'll have a proper photoshoot soon. -Paramy |
I am jealous. Congrats Bro..

Nice Pickup P. Fiance has the DSG in her GTI..it is awesome. Really excited to see what you will do to it. :)
|
Guess it's about I posted pics of my maxima replacement too...
Nice pics, solid intake install too. :p Guys, this car is phenomenal to drive, the shifts and handling are absolutely amazing. I'd almost put it up there with a GT-R. I know we can talk about it all we want, but until you feel it yourself, there's nothing like it. |
