What do you guys think? All opinions are welcome! I'm only 19 years old so I'm putting the Max together piece by piece haha.
Next is the Tokico HPs and Maxspeed springs, I'm just waiting for the front HPs to arrive in the mail.
Then I plan on tinting out the windows, anyone suggest what % I should tint?

Painted sawblades, '99 headlights, painted rear badging, smoked tails, etc etc

I KNOW IT'S DIRTY, here in WI it's futile to clean your car - it rains damn near every other day. As a matter of fact, I just completely washed it down yesterday afternoon. Pressure washer and everything.

Looks good except lose the black from the bumper light corners

Thanks man, I wasn't too sure about the corners myself, but I did it anyways and it's kind of grown on me.

well if you like it thats all that matters.

I would have alsone done the lip of those rims black too. And then obviously lower it.

Nealoc187 06-30-2013 06:41 PM

lower that bish

maxprivate 06-30-2013 06:51 PM

If your going with that tint and smoked look like the tails, I would also smoke out the head lamps and corners. Suspension will change the look substancially.

Absolutely! How do I smoke out the headlamps and corners while also keeping the reflective quality? I feel like if I painted the reflectors they wouldn't...well...reflect so well. haha.

I will post pictures in about a week or two after I lower it! :D

There ya go :P When I had the all black rims and the bumper corners weren't blacked out.

tosheto 07-01-2013 06:19 AM

I like the car. Lower it and put Stillen front lip.

max ride 41 07-01-2013 07:04 AM

and then post it in members rides, this is a help section

Beleg 07-01-2013 07:23 AM

NO NO NO dont lower it please and dont put a lip on it. right now it looks Really good dont change the looks other than some moderate tinting. personally i like the way tail light tinting looks but i dont like them because i think they are dangerous (had to many close calls following them :/ ).

Logan30 07-01-2013 09:41 AM

I like black Maximas (I've got a white one myself) but keeping them clean is another story hahaha....
Even when you say it is futil to wash it, the paint looks in great shape but lacks shine (The best part of a black paint job) you should polish and wax it...This will help your car finish to really stand out and as a plus, to repel rain/water and to clean it easily and effortlessly with a wet microfiber towel.

It looks great, but as you already know, there's always room for improvement!

Keep it up!

P0tter7 07-01-2013 10:03 AM

if you tint it. i like 5% looks really good. we just did my boys black max lastnight 5 % all the wy around. looks good. but i grow outa the tint stage. get 50/50 tail lights. lower it. lip on the front. why dont you get the 97 grill? looks good. mud flaps and mhmmm outside will be set.

ohhh and debadgeeeee the back. just gives it this a freshhh clean look

seriously man, all rookies chiming in with the same old boring mods. i say go red/clears for the tails, different wheels, standard spring/strut drop, o wait...Attachment 30613

1996blackmax 07-01-2013 07:39 PM

Reminds me of my Super Black 96. I like it with the rims painted all black & the clear corners left clear. Once you lower the car, it's really going to add to the look of the car.

who are you callin rookies? What else can you do to maximas without being a ricer?

You've been here so long but what are the not so typical mods you've done on your car.

maxgtr2000 07-01-2013 08:05 PM

Car looks nice and simple which is good. A slight lowering will add to the look.

LOL I'll let you slide because you're secretly scared since you used :wall:

But seriously you can't really do anything with maximas except "clean & simple" because the second you do anything more you're labeled a ricer.

IF OP does not give a single **** about what anyone thinks go all out

bprice92 07-01-2013 09:02 PM

Looks good ,now I know what my stock rims look like if I blacked em' out.. :D all in all though it's a little too "murdered out" for me, I prefer to offset the black with chrome..but to each his own!

max ride 41 07-01-2013 09:32 PM

you guys were'nt around back 7-8 years ago when mods were plentiful an life was good. now, they don't make alot of accesories for our cars anymore like back in the day, it's straight, " o lower your cars and murder out the lights.....

Max139617 07-01-2013 10:06 PM

Very true. At times, you even had several companies to choose from for certain mods.

The Wizard 07-02-2013 10:02 AM

Maxride41....did you seriously post a picture of your Max again when it wasn't warranted.....:o

:vqman:

saig 07-02-2013 10:42 AM

Your car needs wax.

Look good overall.

Off-the-topic: Don't take photo under-tree-shade. Afternoon sunlight (around 5-6 pm) and at an angle (no direct lighting, for hiding defects) are the best for bringing out your car's shines and contours.

Um..I am speechless. I definitely give a single **** and would never be able to justify having a car that looks like that. Hey at least that guy doesn't get brake dust on his wheels!
