Hello all, I just acquired a 1998 maxima for $150! I love the body style and have wanted one for a few years and I finally got lucky. Its not in the best of shape due to the person that owned it being a slob, but it runs and drives great (after I installed control arms on both sides). I am going to have it detailed soon to get the smell out of it and see what it looks like all cleaned up. As for the exterior it is pretty decent; however, it does have some rust on the bottom of the driver side fender, but other than that it looks fine. I did notice that the radiator support looks like it has fallen to the rust god as well but that shouldn't be too bad to fix. I will post pictures soon and I hope I can start modding it. Currently I usually daily drive my 02 WRX but the odometer just turned over 100k and I do not want to put many more miles on it, so I am hoping this will be my new daily due to my long commute. And I am sure it'll be cheaper to play with compared to my WRX or the BMW. Im excited to learn about the car I now have and can't wait to get involved.

I took the hubcaps off because I only had three. It's an auto, but I couldn't complain for 150 bucks. There is a crack in the dash and the interior is stained. But mechanically it seems decent, just needs some shocks.

*Sorry for the pictures being upside down. Maybe it is where i uploaded them from my phone, no idea.

It is tagged now and I have drove it about 200 miles. I have noticed the radiator support is rusted out but I have read that it is common. I need to replace all the speakers as well as the stereo because it definitely isn't to my liking. Mechanically it has ran great. My emergency brake light is on which I'm sure is an easy fix and will hopefully get to fixing that soon. I also found some wheels that are on a 5th gen maxima sitting at my parents to put on it to replace the steelies I have. All in all I am pleased with the maxima, even if it is a little rusty.
Ill try to upload pictures right side up this time
