My car wants to turn off while driving

My 97 nissan max was driving great till last night it got cold so i started up and it kind of started shaking like if it was on choke mode on a lawnmower so i let it warm up and as i was taking off it was acting like it wanted to die. And my check engine light started flashing so i pulled over checked my oil my water and everything seem to b fine but i got back on the road and it was doing the same thing its like shaking like if i come to a stop it feels like it wants to cut off so i got to keep on pressing on the gas.and my hot air aint blowing it blows nothing but cols air?

Have the MAF cleaned with a contact cleaner, otherwise you may have faulty one or your MAF is coming to an end.

Check for codes.

With an intermittent CEL you may have a stored DTC.

Check that first.

My guess a coil gave out....you have 6 of them in the engine. Easy fix no worries.
