Thanks fella's....I was gonna go with the yellow (more hp of course) but decided against it seeing as how my CAI is blue. I shoulda cleaned my engine bay before the pics, but oh well...

The butt dyno seems to register about a 9 hp increase, I'd suggest you fella's all do this for some cheap hp.

I'm actually surprised how cheap it was (7 bucks for like 15 ft. lol) If you guys are wanting to do this, pick up several sizes: 1/2" diameter, 3/4" diameter, and 1" diamater. That'll get ya all covered.

Rungi....that FSTB is the 2k Maxima bar that Stealth Max sells....$45 shipped

Nevin I wish mine would look as good as yours did

Wait till you guys see the full new custom mesh grille I'm doing. Making a mold and everything.

No really, your engine bay looks clean... I might do something like that one day.

*edit* Sorry, I just realized that I already had this photo in my sig. I spent so much time hooking it up, that I had to share it with the org.

engine looks relatively clean for its age, although with the looms/colored hoses id never do something like that; imo whats the point

That looks really good I was think of doing the smaething to my VG but in red to match the valve covers. About a month ago i bought the Meguires Tire gel that is said to last for weeks (which it does)and I tried it on my fading winshield wiper arms, on my faded and turning white trim on the doors, on the trim on my sunroof, and rearview mirror all of which now shine like new and have lasted for a month through extreamly hard rail and hail and blazing sun, it still has not washed off or faded away. I also used it on all the vac hoses I could reach and all the wires and spark plug arms inbetween the silver air manifold and the valve covers. I did that about a month ago, and with all the heat and dust that gets in the engine bay they still havent faded. I recomend this product to everyone. Its a little expensive $8.00 a bottle but it well worth it.

That looks good. I had yellow in my VG at one point, but I didnt really like it shortly after so I removed it. That is a clean engine bay for its age. I think my VG pretty clean too, but my VE needs lots of elbow grease to get it clean. Soon enough though. Keep up the nice work.

for the books, it could be considered ricey in the fact that it doesnt really add any ponies. it does clean it up though, possiably make wires easier to grab or direct. i suppose if you wrapped your emmissions lines in hopes to make the air move faster, it might work, or if you some how managed to wrap a cooler pad around your radiator hoses to keep temps down it might help. its kinda a questionable item, if it is going to be considered ricey, i dont think its as bad as other things that could be done. atleast its organized.

either way
good work/effort

Actually, it is, if your car still goes to shows like mine does. Factory black rubber hoses and black wire loom with nothing else but a pop charger, strut bar and UDP under the hood aren't much to look at for a judge or a show spectator. If you don't take your car to shows and no one else every sees under your hood, who cares? There's no point to it. It serves no function and I hope no one really thinks it does. As they say, "It's all in the presentation."

I'm selling a mesh grille...it's a brand new grille (not OEM though), but the guy who was supposed to get it is flaking out on me from what I can tell.

I painted it black for him, but if you're interested I'll sell it to you (I'll even paint it if I can find the matching paint).

If not, anyone else whose interested let me know. I'm out $125 on that grille and kinda need to make my money back on it.

Can you post some good, detailed, close-up pics of the grille?

yeah, well....I wanted white, but i'll get dirty too easily. When Greg gets the FSTB finished, i'll change to red to match the strut bar.

James12345 - Nice engine. I had just bought the hose kits from Greg earlier today when I saw this post... Go figure!

slickwillie - That's a good idea about that Maguire's. I was wondering about dressing up some of my engine.
