Finally Finished! ------ Pictures of my interior swap!-------

Here's what my interior originally looked like: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/rbloedow/index.htm

And here's what it looks like now : http://mywebpages.comcast.net/rbloedow/index2.htm

Now, all I need to do is find a black steering wheel

Yes I did replace the dash! That's just the color it's supposed to be (brown)! My door panels are the same color

Thanks! THe only thing I wasn't able to swap out was my parking brake handle (I couldn't figure out how to get it out). It looks a little funny, since it's maroon, but I'm gonna paint it black soon

No, I just got new door panels I have never seen the type of fabric that I have in any other maxima. It's like Corderoy (sp?) kinda. I'll see if I can get a close up pic

Was it easy - no. It took me 4 hours to get everything out of the donor car, and about 10 hours to get everything swithched out and put in my car. Also, the carpet from the donor car was VERY stained, so I had to pay 50 bucks to have it professionally cleaned.

I sold the old seats to some dude @ the wrecking yard for $25. Just got to a salvage yard and rip one off of a car

Yea, I hate the wheel too. I have looked in every salvage yard here in Panama City, and almost all the wheels are gone. The ones I could find were funky colored. I want a wheel from a 94 max (since they look SOOO much better).

for the parking brake handle...you can open up the parking brake
console (4 screws) and un-bolt the whole hanle out...you may
have to loose the parking cable a bit first to yank out the hanle...
but it should not be more than a 30 mintue job.

Yea, but I'[m not gonna rip everything out again just for the parking brake. I'll just paint it black (I'll look good when I have my black steering wheel )

Also, about the lettering (whitewall) on my wheels. When I orginally got new tires, I requested that they would be installed facing inwards (so that you can't see the lettering). I had them installed at my Air Force Base, and they were done by an old man. I guess he didn't notice that I asked for them to be facing inward, so I was a little shocked when I saw them. But, after looking at them for a while, I decided that they weren't that bad. I also didn't have the patience to wait for him to change them.

I paid $150 for the WHOLE interior (dash, seats, carpets, etc). THe best place to look for one is at a salvage yard. The seat might need some cleaning, but thet's gonna be your best bet.
