id might be interested but i have a 95 and id want something relatively conservative (ie no stars and stripes ) just a basic white face with black numbers. let us know what you find out...

i'll be in under one condition, these are good quality. not to be the spoiler of the gd, but i've got a set of aluminum look gauges in my garage that after six months had nasty deformations and the surface had bubbled up from heat. as long as they aren't prone to that kinda stuff, i'm all about it!

 

Id be interested as well, any pics of the exact piece we'll be getting?

 

the gauges will be the exact one in our cars. we need a donator set of gauges. they will not be returned. but who ever does it get a free set of gauges for their car. which is good. any color any font. check it out for urself. they are pretty cool. you can design your own. i do not think they will bubble or deform in any way. well let me know when i have 20 ppl.

 

hey, i've got a set of indiglos sitting in my garage, still in the old cluster (which one of the needles are defunct). i'll send that in if you wish. just pm me if you wish. again, i took out the cluster because the odo needle was broken. but i'd be more than willing to donate the items for the cause!

I also have a set of indiglo gauges that are still in the package, and have never been installed. I had bid on E-bay, and thought that the ones I was bidding on were reverse indiglo's. Too bad. But I'd send you those to get a free set!!

I would possibly be in on this deal as long as the quality was assured and we knew there was no fitment issues. Whoever's running this GD should hit a junk yard and get a set of gauges, send them in and get their reverse set back and let us know how they are.

all i need is one whole stock gauge cluster. i don't need the overlays. they are not avialble online at all. they will fit great and their should be no hastle with fitmint. one whole cluster is needed. so if you send them to me i will not be able to send them back. beacause speedhut keeps them. so if u buy the cluster to send you will no get it back at all. i will not have it speed hut will have it. they told me to pass along that not to rip out ur personal gauge cluster becasue of that. but whoever send me them get a set of gauges for free. like it says on the site. check it out. thanks

 

Seems to me like these are good styles...I was messing around with the different options they have. Just pick a car model (say Honda Civic) and it lets you play around with different options. Also, the test template they have looks very similar to the 4th gen gauges. Very cool stuff...I'm torn between the white face/font lightup and just the gauge lightup...choices choices...

Just to possibly save you some footwork (yeah, I know I'm 3rd Gen -SUE ME! ), I was working on a GD for 3rd Gen reverse indiglos, and I already wrote to speedhut. This is what they sent me:

Hi,

The Group Leader is the one who sends in the cluster for his car. Please don't use your own car's cluster, we don't send it back. The best thing is to get a cluster from a junkyard (it does NOT have to be in working condition HOWEVER it DOES need to have everything intact - ie needles, etc). Please do not spend a lot of money on Postage sending your cluster to us. Send it Ground Mail or whatever is cheapest. Make sure it is INSURED however! And remember to add your contact information in the package.

Once you send it to us we will consider you the Group Leader for your car. We will then be able to add your cluster to our Group Buy Program. Then it will be up to you, as the Group Leader, to answer emails pertaining to your cluster about the Group Buy. We will be in contact with you through out the process.

Once we receive 20 Pre Orders we will begin tooling for your car. You as the Group leader will get your Indiglo Dials for FREE. We also offer additional discounts to you and your Group. *Free Text, Free Graphics (ie Flames, Race Stripes, etc), Free Logo's off of our Standard Logo page. In addition, we have your Group (through you) pick one additional logo to add to your list of options. Usually this is your Cars Make or Group Logo.

We also can add the Km/h version to the Pre Orders for FREE as long as we have at least 5 Km/h Pre Orders. If there are less than 5 people wanting Km/h then those that want Km/h will split $99.00 between themselves to have Km/h put on the gauges instead of MPH (i.e. For 4 people $25.00 will be added to each of their orders).

The price for our Pre Order Program Indiglos will be $119.95 plus $8.00 S&H per Pre Order.

This is for the INDIGLO Kit! We will possibly also carry the REAL Aluminum Overlay if it seems to be a popular car!

I think that for the Canadians who want the KMs on there, if we can get 98SE gauges (reverse indiglo, like BenBlanco's) custom-made, I think we can round up enough people to make this worthwhile.

See about getting some of us in for a KM/H deal. I'll need it for the SE (with a digital odometer), so I don't know if we'll have the same "template" or gauge set up. Please let me know what is required to hook this up for the SE, and for KM/H.

i am guessing that all the gauges are the same in our cars. i can get the Km/h gauges all i need is five people that are willing to get them or it will be $99.00 extra. but all this group deal needs is 10 more people.

 

Thanks very much. I think there are a bunch of us that would like to see some Reverse Indiglo Gauges for Canada (or with KH/M) that would work / look great on our 98SEs.

they will not fit a 96 maxima they will only fit a 98-99 maxima

 

98GLE - no bites yet. I'm gonna have to bump that message, see what's up. I think we're out for that one though. Sorry.
