Tire caps... where to find regular silver ones...

The only caps I can find that you can buy are lame 8-***** and skull caps........................

I want standard silver/alum caps... anyone know where I can find them locally?

Try your local Auto-Zone and even Wal-Mart. Both of those places in my hometown carry the standard ones (I'm like you, just wanted the basic silvers).

muahha, i remember back in my middle school thug days on my mongoose bike, my posse used to go out in search for the best car caps...

I had like a 10 pound bag of caps, and alot of exotics: ambulances, nice cars, etc.

I had one pair of caps from an airplane... my freinds neighbor was getting annoyed at us riding bikes and screaming, so he gave us 4 to stfu and gtfo. i took home 2! they were like 2 inches high, with like dual inputs or whatever...

But my bag is lost, so sad, so sad

The reason I said that is because last year at work, some of us were looking out the 2nd floor window and we saw three little punk kids (12-14yrs old) on bikes in our parking lot. They were looking at a guy's modded Eagle Talon TSi and then they bent down next to it. I realized they were stealing his valve caps and I told him, so we yelled out the window. The kids looked startled and started backing away. One guy ran out to the street and yelled at them, but they got away with two of the valve caps. In hindsight, prior to that day we had both had our valve caps stolen within a couple weeks, so we figured these kids did it.
What's even worse is that cars have been stolen from our parking lot. They did catch one guy. He drove into our lot and someone saw he was trying to break into a car, so they shut the gate on him. He ran but he left his car here. Duh. They got him at home.

I too remember the days of yore when one night we managed to get about 55 sets of "chromies" as we called them. It started out we just wanted 2 for our bike and then we figured why not keep going. I realized the other day that mine had been stolen so i guess i deserved it.
