1998 reverse indiglo guages

recently i bought reverse indiglo guages off eby from some store in Cali. when i got them they were the wrong ones. i called them and they said that thats all they had. the ones they sent me had the gas guage facing the wrong way. mine faces towards the passenger and the ones they sent me faced the opposite direction. then the spedometer had analog trip and odometer cutouts while mine had a digital.
is the digital trip and odometer an option or was it stock? and if optional, does anyone know where i can find the reverse indiglo guages for my car.

thanks

If this is going where I THINK it is going (based on a past post I read), I would file a FORMAL complaint with eBay. Misrepresentation of a product constitutes fraud, and eBay can revoke their right to sell. Just my thoughts (and experience)!

reverse guages

its not that they are not being helpful and understanding in this matter, its the opposite. i am very satisfied with their business. they were always communicating with me about the products were abouts. also they were supportive when i called them about the misshap. they aggreed to have me send it back for a full refund. i was just wondering if the guages in my SE were an option or stock?

dont bad mouth importwholesale1, they made no mistake, rather just an accident in not fully labeling what they were selling and me for not knowing that there are two different models of guages. thats why im trying to find out if there are two models of guages.

thanks

While they seem to have a good relationship with you, I have HEARD that they are not so good with others, or at least have not been in the past. Also, they have been notified that they have it wrong in their ads, but never update them. Just my experience. To answer your question, I do not know if there is a different setup like the one that you need. What did you pay for it, if I might ask?

I had also won the gauges from them over a month ago. They were advertised as being 98 Reverse Indiglo Gauges with a silver face.
They were indiglo.. Thats about the only true part of the auction. They did not fit a '98, they did not have a silver face. My biggest concern was obviously that it did not fit a '98... They sent me 95-97 gauges.. They insisted that they SHOULD fit a 98 because they have sold hundreds of these gauges and no one has complained. They refused to discuss the matter with me, insisting that I was in the wrong because I had a GLE and not an SE as they had advertised.. I said I tested it on someone with an SE and it still did not fit.. Speechless.. They were very irresponsive and finally after some rather heated phone calls, they refunded my money, including shipping. Originally they said my only option was to resell it on ebay myself.. Then they said I could send it back but they would NOT pay for shipping and they would charge me a restocking fee too..

Put it up in the Parts for sale forum. You don't know how many emails I get asking where I got my gauges and I eptellingthem rom eBay. I can even help you sell them. If you link me to your post, I'll be sure to redirect all my emails to your sale. Just be sure to specify they are for 95-97 since the 98-99's come with digital odometers.

Unfortunately they don't make aftermarket gauges for us 98-99 SE's at the time. So sad...

Because there isn't a hole drilled for the needle bump stop on the temp gauge and the screw holes are a little wider apart on the SE gauges. You can still make them fit with minor modification, but there aren't any gauges that fit right out of the box.

I have done my search and are still somewhat unclear about reverse indiglo as to what would fit what year.

What about these?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1857456627
But seems like they put the fuel and temp guages on the wrong side. It says 99-01??? So 01 & 02 fits on '99 and vice versa???
Also, my understanding is that for 98-99, the temp guage and fuel guage are pointing toward each other, right?
Anyway, my main concern is that will these fit my '99 SE? Anyone got reverse indiglo in their '99? If yes, please post pics.

Thanks in advance!

from the looks of it, they will fit 98-99 GXE/GLE, but you will have to mod them to make them fit SE's

guages

Okay, i have done some research on this subject myself, I have had both 97 GLE max, and now i have a 99 GLE. First off, the ones advertised as 95-98 fit only the 98 gxe/gle models because of the roll odometers, the 98 SE has a digital odometer, as do the 99's of every trim level (mine). The SE has as mentioned before, wider screw placement, so i do not know what kind of guages you can find for SE's. The ebay guages advertised as 99-01 do fit my 99 GLE (someone mentioned before that the temp and fuel guages were on the wrong side and faced outwards instead of towards eachother, this is because they are simply placed on the wrong side in the pic, reverse the placement and see what you get!). Whether or not they fit 00-01 i don't know but i hope this info has been helpful.

ok the way speedhut works is i am sending them a cluster form a maxima. they will toll it and then sell it to us. they should fit in all models of the maxima 98-99 wit a digital odo. i am gonna try and find out the difference between the gauges. they are custom made to your specs. not to mine they can say thing and the font or dial can be lit up. so check it out and if someone can give me more info on the difference in gauges then that would be good. thanks
