I was doing some suspension and tire pressure tuning today and I think I'm coming closer to the truth. I got the front AGX's set at 4 and the rears set at 5 (thanks aaron). Before I ran them 4f/8r. I ran the back at 8 before when I was towing a trailer for more control and left it there. The back end would get squirrly around turns and bumps, especially if I lifted the throttle during the turn.

Tires I have the fronts set at 35 and the rears at 33 cold PSI.

I find its pretty hard to break the tires loose now unless I'm really pushing it. And when it does break loose it seems pretty neutral. The car also rides a little better too, its not as jarring as before. Njmaxseltd was right about the rears affecting harshness alot.

Further details include Addco RSB, Sprint Springs, Quaife differential, BFGoodrich GForce TA kdws 225/50 16 tires (they rule!), generic FSTB. I have about 80-100 pounds of additional weight in the trunk from the stereo. My car was weighed at 3200 pounds, front 1940 and rear 1260, so its pretty unbalanced. 2 more handling mods and this thing should mimic a BMW (i wish). Subframes stage 1 and 2, and polyurethane bushings. The damn dash creeks and cracks when I'm taking the hard turns.

Now if they only made AGX's for 3rd gens......

 

I have the KDWS also. They are fantastic tires in the dry! However, Eric, be careful in the rain. They are not all that great in wet conditions from my experience. Since you can push the car more in the dry, also, they seem even that much worse in the rain. Just be careful, especially considering that you seem to have a history of pushing your car a bit much.

You guys ride with some freakin firm a$$ settings on your AGX's. Guess it also depends on your tire profile and springs.

I'm running 17x8's FSTB & RSB with H&R's again, (thanks Erica!!) and I run with 2 all around. The front is nice and firm yet my car rides like glass.

When I'm on a trip, 1/2 is all I'm on. What a ride that gives on the highway. So freaking smooth yet tight enough to out-handle most anything on the road.

I do turn the rears up a bit when I have company along for the ride. The ability to control the extra weight in the car with just a quick turn of a **** is........PRICELESS!
