Motor mounts are the cheapest, but you can get a canadian or I30T tranny, with LSD, or a quaife LSD and that will reduce wheel hop

When I ran full tire pressure on my stock 15's with junk tires, I had horrible wheel hop in 1st and 2nd. When I started running with tire pressure at 25psi, the wheel hop disappeared.

Any of you auto guys experience any wheel hop??

I drop my tire pressures if I get severe hop. Radius arms are the solution (or Poly motor mounts) but warpspeed hasn't put theirs into production yet.

This isnt true. When I put in my Quaife I got MORE wheel hop. Must be bad harmonics.

Also depends on how grippy your tires are and how sticky the track is. Before they repaved my track, I never got wheel hop, now it kills my times.

If I experience absolutely no wheel hop at the track, will poly motor mounts help my track times at all? I've heard they will allow more HP to reach the wheels.

Launch it harder and it'll prolly hop.

I am launching it as hard as it can. I get a slight chirp and then it goes. Remember, I am an auto VE. So, will poly mounts help my 1/4 mile times at all? Anybody?

I'm another wheel hopper! Went to the track for the first time tonight and had bad wheel hop. Looks like polyurethane motor mounts are needed.

I get so much wheel hop driving down the trak at Rockingham that my dash shaks and it turns on my winshield wipers. This is very odd; my '92 SE-R never had any type of wheel hop at all. Always two well planted black marks.

If you guys are getting that much wheel hop that's not good, that's acutely slowing you down...what you need to do is keep your left foot on the clutch, and see if your car is about to have massive wheel hope, when it starts ... like u feel the first hop, press the clutch in some, not all the way just some, and slowly release it as your accelerate threw 1st gear...this should stop the car from any massive wheel hop

I mean if you dump the clutch at 4000 rpm what do u expect, yeah your going to get wheel hop...but if u launch that way u need to keep working the clutch and SLOWLY release it.

Oh gee... who said I have to dump the clutch at 4000rpm??

ALL I have to do is push it to the floor in second gear at 4000 RPM and the damn thing roasts the tires. Street or strip. 6speed HLSD equiped.

SR i that was to everyone not just you, i wasent trying to singel you out, i take it you have a 2002 maxima, becuase i said 6 speed....maybe all you need is a upgrade in rims..maybe bigger, maybe wider... if you dont already have some, if so then tires, 2002's are monsters

I was trying to answer you to say that for some of us it isn't a launch problem. I know how to launch the car. And on the motor I don't hop the wheels at all. But some of us are making so much FWHP that the hop is inevitable. Thats a suspension problem with the cars not driver error. Im not willing to fry my clutch to reduce the hop, I just back off the gas when it starts. And on these RE92's thats all the tim at Rochingham. Mostly through second gear.

Sorry but I don't have a clutch!

If you have to tap the clutch you are going to lose et as well.
