I'm really shocked to see these guys give props to the Maxima. I always thought guys (well most guys) that own Camaros, Firebirds, or Mustangs, hated imports.

its no biggie I emailed him and hes in our age group like me and you he said when we go to commerce to let him know hell ride out with us, he does have a cobra so we can roll with the Muscle V8s.

 

I beat a 5.0 last August at Atco NJ. I ran a 15.4 to his 15.6...

 

At least they seem to have some respect- I like to see that not all mustang racers are mullet wearing gun toting rednecks

Tell me if I'm wrong but I thought a "sleeper" was a car that looks like its not fast but able to kill almost everything (like Mardigras or SX7R's GXE's)?

Not only do they mention a ton of non-sleeper cars, but on the second thread they do not give very good props to the max. I don't know what tracks they are used to, but the one I go to it's hard pressed to see 5.0 or 4.6's do better than high 14's at best. Most of the one's i've seen are mostly in the 15's.

I've smoked several 5.0's and 4.6's, including the new Bullit ones (have video). As a matter of fact, the only street mustang that I have lost to was a Cobra, and even he didn't embarrass me (he got me off the light and at the end by only a car length or so). All that with a 3.0L with a 70shot of N2O. When I get my direct port 125 shot in, we'll see what happens then....

hm... i have a 90 GXE, and compared to 5.0 standards, it's pretty much mustang food. last week tho, i showed this punk i can out race it... all w/ the help of a 2 degree right angle...

how pitiful, he fishtailed or something and i was ahead by the next light.
