Today, when I woke up and went outside, there was 3 feet of snow in front of my garage and the temperature was -10 degrees celcius. The funny part was to watch my neighbours trying to get out of there driveways in there little Corolla's and getting stuck in the middle of the road. Luckily, the Maxima came through with no problem. I was wondering how many people have taken off there rims for the winter and is it worth the money investing in winter tires and steel rims?

If you ever plan on buying afterarket rims, why not just use the ones you have on now for winter rims?

no problems at all

With my new Bridgestone Blizzaks mounted on 15" wheels (I mounted them Saturday, not knowing a blizzard was on the way).

I drove through some heavy snow

I'm in Northern Ontario right now...flew up from Ft. Lauderdale to visit family and friends...rented a car in Toronto to drive up to Sudbury, which is normally about a 4 hour drive, took me 7 hours...and I know I was going faster than I should have been. I rented a newer Neon, and it handled the snow pretty darn well I must say. Apparetnly they shut the highway down just after I went through.
