I just got my new ones in the mail. Good luck on trying to find a place with them in stock. It was like I wanted the world when looking for hood struts.

My stock ones lasted about 2 years

Go to Strong Arm's website or your local place of purchase and inquire about the warranty. It's lifetime, so I would imagine you would purchase a new set and send the others back.

This is much better than spending 5 times as much on a Nissan OEM set of hood struts and being laughed at when attempting to get a free replacement.

Or, pay $30 for brand new ones or $150 or so at a dealer every 2 years and stop complaining......

Or, make the effort to get Strong Arm to honor the lifetime warranty. For me, I simply take my receipt and failed struts to Advance Auto and get a new set. Seems simple to me.

I've only had mine for less than a year. They still hold up sometimes, but usually not.

Re: Re: Strong Arm hood struts not working after 1.5 yrs????

hey thanks for the sig tip. I knew my file was too big I don't have photoshop or any other image editing software. Are you hosting my pic for me??? if you are thanks I appreciate it
Cant the reciept, but I'm going to take them back to the retailer since I know they have my name on the computer and get them to swap them or at least order them.
I posted this not to find out what i should do, but rather see if others had a similar experience. Everyone here recommended strong arms so I got them. I guess I would still recommend them only because they are cheap compared to OEM which apparently suck too.

With Lifetime Warranty Stuff, they usually take your name and number for just this situation and take care of it from there.

It won't bother me to replace my struts every year as long as my effort involved is taking the struts off (pretty easy) and going to a parts store.......
