My dealer says not to put Amsoil synthetic trans fluid in my 97 SE. Any feedback?

 

I converted a 97 SE with 134,000 miles and a 97 I30 with 53,000 miles to AMSOIL ATF with great results. Also converted power steering pump in both cars to AMSOIL ATF. I think your dealer is not up to date as to what is available.

 

Many people here use it with no problems. It passes Nissan's requirements, so there's no reason a dealer should say not to use it unless they just want more money from you on a service. In fact, there's nothing they can do to prevent you from using it either.
