Whats the fastest you've gone in an AUTO SE?

im wondering , those with 2001 SE's with 17's, whats the fastest you ever gone. i thought the 17's had something to do with it, but the fastest i've ever gone in my SE is around 125 and then it seems to not move anymore. is there a limiter on the 2001? or just the auto 2001. i thought there was no limiter on the 5th gen, is it because i have auto, or do the autos go up to 140+ too. because i used to have a 99 gxe and it went up to 135 no problems.
i've searched and it seems most people that go up to 140+ have 5 speeds. please shed some light.

thanks.

From what I've read, there is a limiter on the autos, and it's somewhere in the vacinity of 135mph. Personally, I've gotten up to about 133. But with the speedometer error at those speeds, I don't know how accurate it was.

i have a 2000 SE Auto, and YES there is a speed limiter, its about 131mph, i have a set of 225/45/17 tires on my stock 17s, so at max speed the guage reads 138mph, but factor in correction factors and it should be right around 131. Others have claimed top speed on autos as 131, and its true, i originally thought it was just the limit of the car, but even with nitrous it wouldnt break the limit. you need the Apexi RSM to remove the speed limiter.

I've managed 140 (just a tick above) but again judging from Speedo errors at that speed it might be lower than that.

I've only been able to verify speedo accuracy with the GPS up to 70mph.

Btw, i have a 2k2 auto.

I hit 140 then it cut out. Have 3 people to vouch for it. At least that is what it said on the spedo.

Re: sooo..

I got to 120 yesterday real quick, a lot quicker than normal. I made a ghetto ram air for my CAI and I think it helped a lot..

130 on the speedo.

Friend was driving my car in Kansas and the speedo said 111 and so did the police officer. Always wanted to fight that because I know the speedometer can't be that exact at that mph.
