Name Brand Rims

I've been looking for rims for awhile now and came across these guys that are selling them cheap but i haven't really heard of some of the names theyre qouting.

If you go to wheelkings.com that is some of their selection but they also carry rims from veloxperformance.com and qtalloys.com On velox's site i like the VX8 (under VX competition series) which he's qouting for 1070 w/ tires and balanced for me. On QTalloy's site i like the S-15 which he is qouting for about 950 w/ tires and balanced etc. Just wanted to see if any of you had heard of any of these names and whether theyre quality.

He said on wheelkings's i can get the enkei rs5 cdr9 rs6 for 900 w/ tires and install.

All of these are 18's

Let me know what you think.

Also how do you think those rims would look on a sterling mist max.

Thanks

Maybe it's the world we live in but I believe in the old saying "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". Price is kind of cheap for 18's but that's just me. But I can only see the S-15 I can't see the VX8 so I can't give you a fair opinion on which one will look better.

Nice

Enkei rims were some of the first hot rims, back in the mid-late 80's when everybody wanted those enkei 5 stars. Well before this Honda/import tuning thing took off.

True...although i am getting a hookup. Im not sure what is up with the velox site right now. It worked a few hours ago. Here is the direct link to the rim: http://www.veloxperformance.com/whee...asp?Wheel=VX-8

Here is what the velox looks like (its the one i prefer):

So im guessing nobody has actually heard of velox or qtalloy?

i think i paid about 1300 or 1350 from importhookup..wheeloptions, mounted, balanced, shipped with 225/40/18 tires. i know they have it down to 1250..and thats a pretty good deal.

What they say IS true. You get what you pay for. there is a place here locally that sells 18's chromed with tires for 1K, and 19's for 1500, ... Let me tell you, they are some of the biggest POS wheels you will ever buy. ... Just save up till you have the $$ you need to get what is good. There's no harm in waiting.

What size, etc, etc?

Personally, I think that those are plain. Also, Enkeis are about the most common wheel in the world. But its your car, not mine.

Re: Name Brand Rims

how much do those weigh?
little fact : there's .2sec on 1/4 difference on heavy 19" and light weight 16". they tested on a sentra.

a rim between 15 - 25lb are pretty good.

Re: Re: Name Brand Rims

http://www.europeanspeed.com/wheelweights.htm has them weighed in at 21.6 lb for the 18's which im getting. Theyre the Enkei RS-5 and ill probably get them in silver just like the picture.

I think the 5 spoke is a little plain too but its kinda growing on me. I wanted verdicts cause i like the design they have on the spokes but i like the bend that these have on them.

Another thing: It's going to be a pain to keep the inside of those wheels clean. The inner lip is VERY visible, especially on an 18. Get ready to have to hand wash the insides of those very often.

I also hope your rotors aren't rusty.......
