Question about who makes stock struts

I did a search and only found a single reference to this in the 4th gen Forum. There someone mentioned that some Max's come with Tokico or KYB as the stock struts. But no reference to how to tell (obviously color is not useful in the case). Any suggestions on how to tell? Thanks in advance.

MacPherson

I believe MacPherson is who invented the gas tube strut. I'm not sure that they are the only ones who make them anymore.

Look at the struts, you might get lucky and find it on there. I know my original shocks on the truck were stamped with KYB on them.
