is the stillen intake worth it...if i got that along with the frankencar midpipe, are we lookin at a worthy combo or just go totally frankencar.

stillen has that velocity stack which they claimed that it helps in reducing turbulence. In addition to that, their filter has larger surface area, which is another plus.

so let's see
stillen intake : 140
franken car : 120

total, 260.....why not just get a Injen CAI?

no...franken midpipe is lower priced, not sure how much though. i know intake alone is 55, so if total is 120, then midpipe is about...

franken midpipe...65

stillen intake, i can get from a local guy selling his for 75.

total being $130 for franken/stillen combo.

i guess i forgot to add that this is the reason for creating this combo, the good price i'd be getting it.

so i ask again, how does THAT sound....

oops, sorry, thought u were going to upgrade fomr franken to stillen/franken combo.

the sound of the intake will be similar to frankencar, since the velocity stack does not contribute too much. U can check out the audio clip at frankencar.

130 is a pretty good deal for this combo.

we've hit confusion again...i did not mean that the sound is something i'm considering, although i do like the growl...what i meant to say was how does that sound as a performance package. would the franken/stillen be a better performer or the complete franken package.

they both use K&N filter, but stillen has a velocity stack and a strong filter mount....these are the 2 factors that win my vote.

Be sure the Stillen is for an 02' the earlier ones are to small.

I'm not ****ed about buying the Frank mid that I have, it is to small also though. He markets it for 02' but the diameter is still smaller than the TB. The OD of the TB is 80mm (ID=72mm it has a 4mm wall) The Frank will almost slide into the TB. I am looking at making 1 of my own out of aluminum and anodizing it. The difference of about 5-8mm of the Frank is not that big a deal just make sure your getting a 02' Stillen intake.

I have the stillen/Frankencar setup, Im happy with it. Not as loud as a CAI at WOT, but oh well.
