The Family Sedan earns some respect!

Tonight was my first night at the track. It was only a 1/8 mile track. I have a 2K2 Auto GLE with Berk intake and Addco RSB. First time was hard. I had so many people laughing and smurking. The guy that paints the number on the cars said, "are you sure you wanna race this". First race was a Honda civic with god knows what cause he wooped me. Older civic cx to boot. He had heavy, heavy mods though.
After I raced the first time, the guy in the civic said he ashamed that he almost lost to a 4 door family car. (I had the baby seat in the car) When I was waiting to race again I heard many comments like, "that Maxima is fast" and "I never knew Maxima's were that quick". Felt good to say the least.

1/8 9.9064
Reaction time .8313
60 2.3536
73.784 MPH

Is this a good time for a 2K2 Auto Max?
Next time I guess I should remove the spare tire and my subwoofer.

Do you torque brake? If so, what rpm do you rev to? Do you shift or just put it in drive? What rpm do you shift at?

well sorta but only to about 1000 rpm to get ready for launch so I get none of the dreaded hesitation from a dead stop.

I guess the people at your track have never seen an SC'd Maxima? If they thought your auto NA was fast, they'd shut up quick once an SC'd Maxima flies by.
