New pics of my APC wing pushed forward a few inches
New pics of my APC wing pushed forward a few inches
I just put it in place for a second so that you guys could see wehat it would look like a few inches up. I currently have no wing on my car, I actually like it best like that (want to trade trunks anyone?).

What if...
You customized it a little.
I think it looks a hell of a lot better like that, but it still needs to be "shaved" down a bit on the sides.
The wing effect on the sides is too much IMO.

[maxi-overdose], the paint job on it alone cost me $150 and it is perfect

Ethan,
Are you going to install the 3rd brake light at the base of the rear windshield, or are you just going to go without? I have an SE also and prefer the clean look of no spoiler, but am hesitant to go without the brake light.

There are 9 holes witrh the spoiler removed, Chromed tape covers them up pretty good
Jonny 5? Is that the little robot in that movie? I don't see the resembalance.
[maxi-overdose], it fits on fine with it like that, a few holee will need to be covered up if you have a oem wing on though.

Yeah, from Short Circuit
Not much but the wing looks like J5's "eyebrows" while the clear tails looks like his eyes. Also notice how spread apart the eyes/tails are.

This is how my car is going to be for now on:
Better Idea
I think that I have a better idea. I think that you should have gotten new rims first. I don't like the fact that the rims show too much of the brake pad and the axel. I think that it looks tacky when you do that with rims. You should've gotten some rims that are filled in a little bit more.

when i first installed my wingswest wing, the stupid assistant at the shop accidently drilled holes in the wrong place for my wing. the shop said they would repair it, but in the meantime, i just painted some electrical tape with touch-up paint, and used that to cover the holes. it blended in great, you should try it if you have some touch up paint lying around.

Maximazero, thank you for the advice. I actually just put my stock wing back on. I can't make up my mind between the APC wing, stock wing and no wing
I guess it depends on the weather, LOL!

Can you work your magic on the 1st pic with the spoiler moved forward?
I'd like to see what it looks like with the side profile not dropping down towards the fender. Basically, the line on the front part(window side) would stay the same height and then blend into the upward slope on the tail edge. Man I can't expain this for ****.
Just play around with it if you don't mind.
Thanks.
hmm i kinda like that spoiler but i'm dumping almost a grand into speakers and an amp today. damn it all. i've had my headunit installed for like 2 days and i already can tell that it doesn't like the bose speakers at 1 OHM even with the integrator.
if you still have it in a little while maybe i'll get it and we can swap trunk too and have them painted.

You see that pile of garbage covered by the tarp in pic #1? Take your wing and throw it in there because that wing needs to be
I can't believe APC actually thought that wing would look good on the 5th gen. In one of the side pics, the wing actually looks like your truck lid when it's open.
I'd figure out a way to keep the non-spoiler look. It looks so clean that way. There's a reason BMW, Corvette, Mercedes, Lexus, etc don't install wings on the factory cars. It's because they're not needed and they F-up the lines of the car. I'd love to be rid of my spoiler.

Maxting, I know it, lol..
I always liked how the spoiler from the back, but earlier it stuck out too far. When it's moved further in, it has a great side profile too. However, from the rear 3/4 view, it does look a little bit like floppy ears. But overall, looks pretty nice! Personally I like spoilers, so I'd say keep it, or the stock one.
