Wouldnt it work with just say an 1/8 to 1/4" black ring plate like the ones that came on the 2k max's?

Believe it or not, I drove my 00 GXE for about 3 years and never looked at the strut tower. I am talking about a ring for underneath the bracket to push the bar up a little, just enough to clear the intake. I can probably have these made if anyone is interested.
