Crackhead Deal: Gforce ECU group buy! $380

Group Deal is on again for Gforce Engineering ECU for 95/96 Maximas *you can put the ecu in 97 but CEL will trip. possibly 98 years too.*

$380.00 Sale Price.. Retail is $595.00 (previous group buy deals were at $400+)
Shipping not included. turn around time is three days depending on shipping method.
NO MINIMUM.

gains: PEAK hp burst ~12->15hp in midrange due to what mods you have.
average OVERALL gain THROUGHOUT rpm range is 5hp.

this advances timing, and adjusts fuel / air ratio.
easiest mod you'll ever do, no need to get any busted knuckles or ruined shirts...

if interested, email me at Chebosto@hotmail.com

for past discussions, use SEARCH. PLease keep this thread civilized. IF you have the Gforce ECU already just post some comments, if you DONT have it, and never SEEN it in ACTION then please post your comments in the OFFTOPIC section.

Nothing to do with a 99 per say, but I don't think the G-force ECU will play well with nitrous...

A word of warning to current/future VI guys, the G-Force ECU DOES NOT raise the redline like the JWT. $380 is a hell of a deal though.

So, the question is... Can I get G-Force to give me a RAISED rev limiter. If they can raise my rev limiter, if not, I've got to hold out for the JWT.

Yeah Chebosto: Can't you get them to up the rev limiter to 7k? I wouldn't think it would be hard them...

currently the rev limiter is still set as OE.

i wanted them to raise it. but they cant find the code for it. and jwt's not sharing.

maybe i can convince them to try to search for it harder.

but yeah. this deal is good until i call it off. which probably will be end of september.

no minimum purchases needed to get it started. just get em out to those who want em...

cheap cheap.

So the only difference between the gforce and the jwt is the raised redline of the jwt?

Keep us updated... if indeed they can figure out how to raise the rev limiter I'll buy for sure. No question about it.

basically, the VI gives it a lot more top end.

Cheston, will this work with Nitrous if it changes the a/f ratio?

The ECU generally wouldn't be good if you have nitrous because it basically advances your timing...unless you also get Mardigrasmax's retard box =) The box can be set to retard timing when spraying.

cheston, do i still have to find a 95/96 5sp ECU or will you provide them to make it an easier transaction? in reguards to the MIL. my MIL comes on because of my exhaust anyway. i just reset it everytime. i suppose it will be the same with the Gforce? i wish JWT would share a little on the rev limiter! $380 is a deal!

1. NOS can be added. they can program a retarded fuel curve.
2. if you are not 95/96 model years, yea. you have to find your own ecu.
3. 380 is a bargain for a chip. really. i'm glad i could get it for us.
4.i got my 96 SE 5speed ecu still with the special "cheesyton program" thats more advanced than the regular programming. if anyone is in doubt and wants to test it first, then by all means, i'll send it to you for a week to try out.. just gotta give me a deposit first.

Can you get them to program the chip so that it raises the line pressure of the valve body? Someone was saying that our auto transmission is electronically controlled. Thus instead of using Don's vb mod I hear there are chips that do the same thing without the drilling and fiddling with new springs and such.

Since we're on the topic of chips I thought i'd throw some stuff out to see what peoples thoughts are on this....

Why aren't there any chips specifically for 97+ years? I know it has something to do with OBII? But if so I thought they cracked this code a long time ago for other cars, why not ours? My mechanic buddy was tellin me that there are a bunch of ecu programming companies, and i'm thinking atleast one of them would be able to make an application specific for 97+ maximas. Also if they make vortech superchargers for our cars you would think they would have a chip to correspond and remap the fuel to run richer. I mean using a 95-96 chip in my 97 is good and all but I feel dissatisfied with that.

Anyways... i'm a relative noob when it comes to ecus and such so please save the flames. Just wanna know peoples thoughts on this. Maybe i'll learn something.

Hey Chebosto, quick Q: Is this a stand alone ECU or will I have to send my ECU to GFORCE for modification?

380 is a sweet deal though.

Send it to G-Force for 2-4weeks. Or you they can send you a spare for a $500 core charge if you have the dough.

My car has power there... I just can't get to it because I'm stuck with a 6550 rev limiter

Cheston, this involves us sending in our stock ECU correct? So if we want to do it we are either without our car for a few weeks or we need to pay a core charge right?

I am not Cheston but yes this involves send away your stock ECU for 2-4 weeks and you can get the core (it's optional) for $500.

Will this chip remove my rate limiter ('96 gxe 120mph)?

How will it effect my MPG/reliability of my car?

Is the "core" a "loaner" ecu, so I can drive until I get my g-force?

Thanks

yes, if this works for 98 (without CEL coming on), I'd be in. Also, Cheston, for this deal, is there option of them charging $500 extra (until we return our ECU) so that we won't be without an ECU for even a few days?

If you want an extra ECU you need to find one yourself. they're not in the market of selling used stock ecus. .. unfortunately.

if you're talking about core-swapping, that's not really recommended.. i mean. its your stock ecu .dont you want to keep it?

also for those that have emailed me .i will contact all of you individually. ive been busy with work. so i WILL contact everyone.
just be sure you have emailed me.

Have they figured out how to mod for MAF or injector changes yet?
