1st Time at the track and did terrible!
I went to the track today and was extremely disappointed. First off when I called for the cost to run for the import event at Sears Point for only Saturday they said $30 but when I got there they said $60 flat rate. Secondly I got there extremely early just to find out that it didn't matter when you came because they ran you by catagories. It didn't start out very good at all.
I have a Maxima SE 2000 auto. My first run of the day I did 16.1, I was very unfimilar with the track setup and when to launch and also hit the rev limiter (I have an auto). I wasn't impressed considering I have Y pipe, exhaust, cold air intake, and underdrive pulley. Second time I ran I got a 15.8, I still wasn't impressed. Finally I decided to sqeeze and I was getting 15.1's and 15.2's (55 shot). This is pretty sad considering the mods I have in my car. I had wheel spin all the way till the end of first gear though. My reaction time was around 0.7 and my 60 feet was 2.37. Do you guys have any idea what I might be doing wrong? I also lowered my PSI in my front tires to 27.

Post the full timeslip info, 60', 330', 1/8 ET/trap and etc. Also what track were you at and what is it's elevation? What tires/mods do have also? BTW did you weigh the car and did you remove any stereo or do any weight reduction?

I have Bridgestone RE730 tires, they have about 40% tread left, I left the rear PSI at 44, and the fronts at 28 PSI. I did not remove anything from my car, I have a woofer and an amp in my trunk. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Reducing weight will help for certain, take out everything you can to better times...
for a .6 RT you should have a better 60 foot time...may check your intake to see if everything is tight...
as well keep your front tires around 32 so they will still help out on launch but retain balanced rotation throuhghout the trap speed...it will increase
...but of course you already showed drastic improvement that only experience gives...don't beat yourself up about it...most people don't get the thrill of doing as well as you did.
Enjoy the drive...
