I got them off of e-Bay for around $350 last December. Getting rid of those honeycomb rims was the best thing I ever did.

jettmiester...

i like these wheels a lot. i have them mated with a set of kumho 712's in 225/55/16. now that i am looking at a drop i think i should have gotten 225/50. they are just slightly different then the 4th gen 16's...just a little different touch.

I have the same wheels, they make the car stand out more than an ordinary stock 4th gen. I got them with the car when i bought it. There was some problem getting the old rims to balance so they swapped to the 2000 and threw on some toyos... and all for free

He was listing the rims on ebay for a while........

This is an old pic. I since have gotten the clear side markers and it makes a world of a difference......

A pair? Meaning two? Or a set meaning 4? If you can get me a set of four at the price you say, please e-mail me asap.

I have a problem with the 00-01 17's, I do not like wheels with caps covering the lugs. Caps fall off, brake, or even fade and in time no longer match the wheel. I like as few pieces as possible. It is like having a wheel with a small hub-cap. Less parts, less trouble in time.

I drive on alot of dirt/gravel roads, rough country roads and anything bigger than 16 may be too harsh for what I do with the car. If I lived in a nice pristine little city and had paved roads everywhere I go, I would go for some 18's or so.

If I decide on 17's, EVO-5 wins, If I decide on 16's these win.

I had a deal lined up with a member on here for 2002 SE 17's, but he never e-mailed me back to finalize the deal, or even reply to questions. So, I am soured on the 2002 SE rims. I absolutely love the 2002 GLE wheel.

I want to thank each and every one of you who participated in this thread posting pics. I thank you. I now know I really like these 00-01 16's on this car.

Thanks a million, you all rock!~!

That pic you put in this post is the same pic I use on Ebay - thought you bought them from me. I sell these wheels every day on Ebay, for $350/set.

Got them mounted and balanced with my new SP Sport A2's. they do look much bigger in real life, though. and the tires are very aggressive looking.

i was in the same boat... i was going to get the 5th gen 16"s but then after all is said and done, its a lot of $, and no one knows they arent stock. i spent the extra few hundred and got my 17"s. i love them, and the tires look so much more aggresive. they are wider, lighter, and fill the wheel well better because of the offset. only better mod so far was the suspension. dont do the 17"s if you arent lowering.

Hey how wide are your rims....and what size tires did you use....and when you got your 17's did it increase the overall diameter of the wheel or did you go plus one sizing??

235/45/17s on 17x7 rims. its the same overall diameter. i had 215/55/15s before. its a firmer ride, but i lowered the day before the rims went on so its hard to say what part the tires had. wider tires make it look so much better. its just hard to spend the money on someone elses "stock" rims. i went the extra to get the enkeis, and im glad i did.
