How do fuel rails benefit a S/C'd car, and how exactly does it work,

These parts you mention like the fuel pressure regulator, fuel rails...etc. Most of these fuel system upgrades are needed when you know your current setup is not flowing enough fuel to the engine. I have no idea on the specs of the fuel rails, injectors, pump...etc. You might want to call JWT to find more info on the stock Nissan fuel system. Don might know too.
