Does anyone know what the nominal operating coolant temperature in degrees should be on a VE? I just had an AutoMeter Phantom electrical water temp gage put in and it pegs out at 250 evertime. It doesn't peg instantly when the car is turned on. It only starts to move up slowly after a few minutes of running. I can't believe that the temp is actually higher than that. I think the factory sender is calibrated differently. Trying to eliminate possibilities. The new tranny temp gage isn't working at all. I think that is either a bad sender or gage. Getting power. Lights working, but the needle never moves.
