is my transmission ****ed up?

ok this is what happened. i was going to go home early from school. i started the car and put the car in reverse. the car starts to roll forward and the brakes didn't work so i put the damn car in park. then i tried to do reverse again and it starts to roll forward again and brakes didn't work. and then i couldn't even shift to reverse or anything after that because my brakes didn't work. i kept stepping on it but it didn't move. can somebody please tell me what's wrong?

its probably the lingage bushings its a real cheap part and there are two of them if you search for it there are a couple write-ups on it of how to replace them.
