do injen CAI pass emissions? carb legal? thinkin of gettin one, just tryin to find some info on them, i searched and found alot of stuff but nuthin says anything about emissions

Mods are legal in CA as long as you have a CARB exemption sticker for that particular mod.

In reality; it won't affect your emissions one way or the other but if they haven't certified it, it won't pass the smog inspection. You'll beat the standards easily on the actual testing but
no sticker = no pass.

It costs somewhere around $50,000 for a company to certify a product with CARB.

Why didn't my Injen Intake come with a C.A.R.B. sticker?
Injen Technology applies for C.A.R.B. certification. Due to the way the process works, we are not able to determine how long it takes to
obtain approval. The intake systems that do not come with a C.A.R.B. sticker are usually pending.

And when I got mine just this past week, it did NOT come with a CARB sticker

 

So this CARB exemption sticker is only required in California?

 

In my Stillen pop charger came with a CARB sticker and an instructions sheet as follow

It looks like the Injen intake points down and gets air from under the car. Would there be a problem if you were driving in heavy rain or snow?
