VI installed..WoW!!

Saturday, went down to Mr. Cranmans place and he and Gary did the VI. Took them about 2-2.5 hours, these guys are crazy fast, and it started up nicely, no idle problems or anything like that. I just sat around and watched, handed them a shop towel or 2 and helped hold the hood up sometimes because my struts are bad. This thing is freaking amazing, I forgot my vacuum canister at home, so we zip tied it open and I live about 80-100 miles away, so I had a great time opening it up on the highway. Power was felt immedialtely, like literally, I floored right as I got on Montgomery and holy freakin cow!! This thing just plain out rocks!!!!!!!! thanks so much John and Gary, we're going to have to go hang out sometime again.

Now for the bad news, my cv joint has been making weird noises even before the VI, even though th boots arent wasted or anything, they still complain, but right as i got into Espanola, the noise was really bad, like clanking, so she's been parked since Saturday night. Too much power And I think I fried my RPM switch as I was wiring the relay.

This is by far the best mod I've ever done. It wasn't the kind that you put on and say 'oh well, maybe the ECU needs to adjust', nope, this was instantly, insane power.

Intake sounds different too, more refined, pulses are closer together, and my y-pipe hises a helluva lot more now from 5.5k-6.5k, I even bounced off the rev limiter a couple of times because I'm not used to the extra power that late in the power band, and I'm auto

Cat-back isn't worth it on a 4th gen Maxima, IMHO.

In your estimation, how hard/easy do you think that install is ? my biggest concern is wiring everythgin up and tapping into the right power sources

Watching Gary and John do it, they made it look like cake, the wiring is really easy, straight foward. So it's overall an easy job. If you know what you're doing.

Sounds great...What exactly is the VI and what does it cost?

I'm glad that you enjoyed your ride home. And I'm glad the first impressions are great. It was fun installing the mod for you. Hope that you get the CV joint up and running and get the beast back on the road. So did you have any problem installing the Vacuum canister?? I'm glad that you are a satisfied customer

Have a great week,
John
