Do the body shops record your miles whenever they fix your car?

dealer = yes.
private = doubt it, unless it's in their own records
why? How much did you roll back the odo?

I was wondering, what kind of stuff do they write down on your vehicle history? Like even if they change your brakes, body work, paint, etc...

I didn't roll it, was just curious. But now you got me thinkin... jk
I have only used 2 privately owned body shops in the past 14 years, when I find a good one I stick with them. I've had body work done about 8 times and everytime they put the car's milage on thr repair order (RO). They send a copy of the RO to the respective insurance company on insurance work or work being billed to Nissan, ie... chipping, peeling and fading.
the good shops will, that way they can let you know when required service is due...
also, reset your trip odo when you drop your car off...when i had my brakes done, one of the kids (probably the one that drives a jetta with 19" wheels and a huge spoiler that sits in the parking lot) took my car on a nice little 10 mile trip to "seat" the new pads. i know this needs to be done....but 10 miles???

there is a maintenace record in the owner's manual....if you don't have it I can email it to you (since the website that I got it from was hacked and I have not been back to see if nissan fixed the page)
pm me if you want me to send it to ya!!
ms. t.
Cant roll back the odo on the digital ones. They are locked in a chip inside the speedo assembly. And no I aint tried this, know it from looking at the ESM since someone was trying to say it CAN be done. I proved them wrong.
