99 SE auto & my 93 GXE

My fiance just bought herself a 99 SE limited that's completely LOADED! Since I'm her shofer, she always wants me to drive it when we go anywhere. Who am I to say no?! LOL! I used to have a 93 SE and I remembered how that car used to haul a$$ when I got on. After I drove her can, I was kinda disappointed in the HUGE lack of torque that I've grown to love from my 93 GXE. I must say, after driving her car for a week while she was out of town, I was pretty happy to get back into my car again.

Now, quit cussing me out for a minite and just listen to my reasoning here. Now that I'm a little older (22!) I don't beat on my cars as much as I used to. I know that the VE engine has to be in the higher RPM's for you to get that torque while the VG starts out strong and finishes weak. Now that I drive the car the way the engineers at Nissan intended 75% of the target market to do, I appreciate the gobs of torque at the low-end b/c I use that more than I do the high-end. This really makes the car feel sporty for me and I got a sense that my car (even though it isn't) is sportier than my fiance's car for everyday driving ------- not to mention that the 95s - 99s have a rear beam!

Well, that's just my $0.02.
