Just curious about those with the 12.2" Wilwood kit, the 12.9" Brembo, and the 12.9" AP kits.

just wanted to gauge the "interest" for those who want a cheaper big brake kit. i.e. $1100 for calipers, lines, pads. hat, brackets and rotors that fit with no washers....

 

I would be interested in a kit bigger than my wilwoods... looking at the precision kit myself unless you can do something special...

 

c thats the thing. bigger the rotors. nicer the hat. more the money.

12" for $1100 is easy
13" for $1300 is easy
but if you want annodized hats with laser cut brackets on T7 7071 aluminum, that will be $$$..

J/K Build it and they will come, I am sure people would rather spend the money with you than some faceless company... just make a good product. Good luck, let me know when your 13" kit needs a test fitter

the precision kit is a good deal for 900 i hope you can make a good kit too cheston. i've been happty with mine.

all my CAD & Solidworks designs are done.

ive been on/off searching for a CNC place locally. but if you know anyone that has a CNC machine willing to do it. then by all means let me know and i'll give you the brackets/hat as compensation (just just buy the caliper and rotor)


i tried locally but everyone is kinda expensive, i'm only using 6061, which is by far exceeds the criteria for safety (expecially with our design for the bracket that actually fits into the steering knuckle with no major grinding what so ever.

 

my new machine shop is one of my good friend's father shop's and he is wicked good. he makes dies and tools for smith and wesson and craftsman. he was making some power plant parts for GE when i was there yesterday. i'm sure it could be done esp if all the cad work is done. email me if you interested.

dude I emailed you... we have a CNC shop doing BB kit brackets for the Lexus guys, the guy may or may not be interested, he usually works with race cars blah blah, but hes a friend of a friedn and maybe be willing to do the Machine work

 

Wow, Cheston, i thought you were an EE, how did you learn CAD and CNC stuff? Or did you have it done. I'm an ME and just starting to learn that stuff and man, is it confusing...

 

I'd spend $1000 for a 12" brake kit that would fit on my 3rd gen se. 4 wheel disc. let me know!
