tire rub with sprints

Well I've had my sprint springs for a while. I just got my car aligned and the tires are rubbing the fender. I haven't heard of anyone else on the board rubbing, so I'm not sure what to do. I've been told that the springs set the ride height, but my sprints set lower than other people's that I've seen. Could it be that i need new bumpstops? Or maybe the springs might've worn out? I also have 17x8 wheels and 245/45/17 kumho tires if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sprints

I also belive that I am hitting but only in the front. My front is pretty low and from what I see and hear I think it rubs. Question for you is your front lower than your back ? As for what to do im just gonna ignore it for now, because the advise I got was it shouldnt be rubbing so... maybe it's all in my head

Joffe is right, the sprints just sit lower in the front. If you're tire is rubbing the fender you will definitely know it. I just wanted to know if anyone had heard of sprints wearing out (since I am the second owner), or if it would change the ride height if i changed the bumpstops. Anyone?

Re: tire rub with sprints

I'm no expert but I would consider changing tire size. 235/45-17 would probably be the way to go.

that might work, but I just bought new tires and I don't feel like replacing them. They're the right size for the rim, I just dont know what the problem is.

that's what I don't understand. My front wheels almost looked tucked under the fender. My car sits hower in the front than anyone elses does w/ the sprints. Would it raise the ride height if put new bumpstops in?

maybe you need to roll your fenders.
