Ok ladies and gents,
I received my Carbon fiber Gen 2 Altezzas today (ordered from procarparts.com) I have not installed them yet, as work always seem to get in the way . However upon initial inspection of the tailights, houseing,quality etc. They do appear to be very well made and definatly look 100% better in person than from a picture on the internet. The CF appears to be real, and not imitation crap, also what I really liked was around the LED it is wrapped in CF, the led light is raised to the outer plastic cover and it appears to be coil wrapped with the cf, which is unexpected, but very good looking. I will be installing these tomorrow, or friday, haven't decided which yet. Hopefully I will be able to get my neighbors digi cam for a few before and after shots, install pix and what not. Forgive me if something like this was posted previously, I know about the 1 thread about these tails and it was more of a check these out, does anyone have them yet type deal, so yes, I do now have these. Stay tuned to this thread for pix, also on another positive note, Greddy SP exhaust is finally off backorder and I will finally be getting mine this week, or so I have been told by the greddy warehouse! So maybe some install pix of that as well . Good day all.

Doh that sucks dude! I got confirmation from neighbor, I have use of digi cam all weekend when I need it so pix will be definate! I think I was the first to order these tail's at least the cf type, anyone seen a max with em on yet? My max is black so the lights are going to blend pretty good. Gonna have to wash and wax before though dirty lil black beast she is.

 

Mines black for now. It needs a new paint job so it might not be black for much longer.

 

I ordered the CF Gen 2 altezzas about a week ago from procarparts.com also.. I got the package yesterday and they sent me the chrome ones !! Now I gotta send them back and I wont get the CF lights for about 2-3 weeks which sucks... I hooked 1 up just to see how the LED's looked.. they look sick!!!

Nice! i think im gonna do install tommorrow, does the led wire just plug or hook into the stock wiring? and then the reverse and blinker bulbs just go into the provided sockets correct?

 

Ok Kids, today was the day. After discovering a nail sticking out of my rear passenger tire the other day, I had to get that tire replaced, kept stock Delta Essex ones, lucky me there was 1 tire left in stock, from the last shipment as they stopped maken these tires I guess. SO, today after i got that changed i figure ahh what the hell i got 2 hours before work i got time for this. So me and my roomate got started, it was a rather easy install, unhooked all the stock crap, bolts etc. ripped the stock wire harnesses off. Hardest part of the install was that sticky goop crap that lined the edge of the stock lights it made it pretty difficult to put the stock tails out, but with a little hammering on the bolts it slowly came out *NOTE* sticky **** sux i got it on my light. Good thing i had some goo gone.) Once we had the stock tails removed and the area a little cleaned up where they were, we started putting the new gen2 is alternating, did the right trunk light then the right side just to get a feel for the 2 before we did em all. In processes of bolting the left trunk one on we noticed the stock bolts which has little "caps" on them did not work the screw coming out of the gen2's were to long so the bolt was stopping few threads short. Easy fix went and got some nuts, bolted it all up and tested the LED's and HOLY **** those things are friggen awsome, the lit up very well during the day, and its not dark yet, so I haven't seen them at night but i can't friggin wait, all in all the install was easy, the leds rock, and yes my car now appears to have a Skyline tail end, without paint, or at least closer that other altezzas do. I will be working on taken some pictures tonight, and some tommorrow, I did not get any progress pictures, but who cars its the end affect that counts. SO keep watching, I will probably post an update reply here and probably a new thread for the pix. good day all.

Yeah thats what I wanna know, my ****en neighboy is a **** ****er said I could use the digi cam too, then when i got to get it he gives me some bs about how he can't find it. i should just buy my own i always need one for sumthin. Ill see what i can do tomorrow with the picz. **** looks tight though, I had some dude at wendys checking em out, he was drive some unmodded 97 gxe all stock pos looken crap, I come out and hes all up on my cars tail checken em out. People dig em, for now my car is somewhat unique

working on it sorry for the wait guys I really need to buy my own digital camera. *Runs to walmart and buys the 2.1 mp samsung on sale* It's saturday so maybe my lush neighbor who doesn't answer his door or phone because he is to busy playing DAOC will be out. I would have bought a digi cam last week, but between the lights and my exhaust i've spent close to 850 dollars in 1 week on my car and I just moved out to my own place so im a lil strapped for cash at the moment at least for toys im still rich :P heheheh j/k I will see whats up with that damn camera tonight, hopefully friggen post some pix

Oh man, I should have shut up and never started the CF Gen 2 thread, now all the CF Gen 2 Altezza prices are all jacked up on ebay! When I first posted about these Gen 2, no one bidded on any of them for several days!

YAY! i don't remember that thread heh, didn't get mine on ebay anyway. Expect pictures this afternoon, one of my co-workers brought in his digital camera! Im going to have to work on my neighbor for the camera for some night shots still. So I will repost again in a little bit with some pix.

I finally got pictures, sorry it took so long I had em like 3 hours ago, but for some reason this site only loads for me on my pc for like 2 hours a day and the rest of the time is down, tried everything to fix it, but my roomate can get on fine so Im using his pc.
