Maxima just got a "distant-future" mod...sort of...

I just bought a set of Moteigi Racing MR7 rims in "gunmetal." I wanted to use the tires that came on my max, so I went w/ 15" x 6" rims. The kicker?

(the small, grey-ish ones)

THEY AREN'T FOR MY CAR...yet.

I am putting them on my wife's Black 2K Cavalier b/c she needs new tires and I have my 15" tires from my Max (upgraded to 16" SE rims) doing nothing. She wants a new car in a year or so, and I will NOT be leaving these on the car.

The best part? Moteigi MR7s have universal 5-lug patters (both 5x100 and 5x114.3) on the same rims, so when she sells the Cav, we can either put these on my max, or maybe on her new car, if it has 5 lugs.

I was DYING to get some 16" MR12s:

(the large pic)

for my max, but I would have had to have had my SE rims sold first. I only paid $270 for the set, BRAND NEW. I could have had the 16" MR12s for $290 or $315, but there is just not enough money in the coffers for that.

I tried on a set of gunmetal 17x7.5 MR12's with 225/45/17 tires on my max, and they look awsome. And they are not that heavy either, which is a plus.

Yeah, if I could sell my SE rims I would buy a set, but with the backorder on Motegi rims it could be a while.

Too common indeed. They make my Konig's look cheap because Motegi just copied the design from the Tantrum's.

Aren't these actually the same rims, made at the same place, and then badged differently?

I would like to see the 15" gunmetal motegi's on your car....thought about that set up for my i30. I have GREAT 15" tires, and would like to keep a 15" wheel.

Do show do show!!
