Brembo vented and solid rotors.....whats the difference?

I am looking to do some sort of brake upgrade and i noticed on nopi.com they have brembo brakes but there are 2 kinds. Solid rotor and vented rotor (solid $22 and vented $31). Whats the differenct in the solid and vented rotor? I didnt think brembo made a slotted rotor if thats what it means?

From: Houston
left to right: vented, slotted, crossdrilled.

Solid rotor:

Keep in mind those aren't the exact ones you're looking at, but that's how the general population names their stuff.

what are the part numbers on the brembo rotors you're looking at?

front rotors (exact same as OEM size/design) for 3rd gens are JBR-505.
Rear are JBR-506

The part number that nopi has for them is 437+0752. It just say vented brembo rotors are $31. So those are the same as OEM rotors. Are they better in any way? I currently have Raybestos front rotors and stock calipers and raybestos pads. Would the brembos be better?

I have Brembo X Drilled and slotted rotors, impressive quality but IMO the X drilling and slotting is for the track but it sure looks nice! I wouldn't spend the money to go from Raybestos vented rotors to Brembo vented rotors unless I needed new rotors. Raybestos is a quality company, although the NOPI price is super low.

check www.jagworks.com, they sell brembo blank rotors you need and free shipping. The front rotors my car uses is ventilated blank discs made by brembo. The rear uses regular blanks discs and are non-ventilated made by brembo.

Group deal at Race Concepts, got 4 X drilled, slotted and plated rotors for my 97 for $200.00 ($50. each) plus $33 shipping. Shipping was for 54 lbs. from Santa Ana, CA to Charlotte, NC. You can check out their rotors at www.raceconcepts.net if you like what you see you need to call Wood 714 547-3581 and ask for Maxima Forum group deal price. He will take credit card over the phone, they ship quickly w/o any nonsense. I am quite pleased, it was a great price for what you get.
