Pulled the supercharger in 35mins! Garbage Azz dealer giving a hardtime..
Well took off the supercharger today since I went to another dealer here in Ga and told them my alternator is making nasty noise. I diagnose the problem already so the id!ot Master tech tells me my pullies are not aligned and the belt is touching the plate and thats the cause of the noise under my engine bay
. Okay so I went off to Napa bought a new K0605705 belt to replace my current belt. I timed myself started right at 3:55PM and was done by 4:30. 5 mins later Got all the bolts off the plate to get to the belt but when I get to the one bolt that I forgot to loosen my 3/8 Allen Socket just breaks. I am using socket 3/8 to 1/2 socket adaptor to remove those pesky allen bolts along w/a breaker bar.
I already know where the noise is coming from but since it just took me 35mins to remove the blower I will shave the plate down and re install everything, I know the noise will be there but lets see what happens. If the noise is gone then the Master tech was right but I know the Junior Tech that I am is the alternator making the freaking crazy noise. I just have a feeling he was scared to touch the vehicle but then again I was there willing to do the work myself at the dealership. If the noise is there then Ill return the car completely stock and take it one last time.

hey man, sorry to hear about your problems, i don't think my SC is giving the amount of boost that it should be with the size pulley, anyway you could stop by my house again (or I'll come visit you) and take a look again? I'd really appreciate.
P.S. I'm going to want to get my springs cut pretty soon

Nismo where can I get that stescope tool your talking about?
I appreciate your help.
I did however ran into a big problem I broke three 7/32, allen sockets. So much for pulling the blower off so fast. Geez that breaker bar snaps allen sockets like pencils. Lucky I took the blower to Sears and just broke the last bolt loose in the parking lot.

thanks for the all the help, can you cut my springs next weekend for the new rims I'll be getting? While were at it, maybe you could take a look at the SC, and if its nothing else, I guess i'll modify the CAI. Let me know.

Installed my blower back in less then two hours. Everything else was routine checks and minor clean up and maintaince. The noise did go away after shaving down the plate
. Well I am happy about that. I had a boost leak that I didnt know about. I guess I have failed to monitor the boost gauge
. Geez little minor things that may slow you down. The CAI filter was definitely filthy and I just cleaned it not too long ago.
so your getting good at removing that thing.. HHMMMMM..
maybe we could "test fit" my car
BTW where did you go jamie?
TEAM nissan?
or the place near barrett?
I hear the place near barrett is better/cooler about some things... talk to jared as well about a discount

they both have given me a hardtime. I went to the dealer by your place. I would have test fit it on your ride have you known that I was working on it. Now the belt is just MMs from the actual plate I did see some rubber residue
, is just very minor amount very little. I didnt want none. But having a new belt gives me peace of mind. So the old one was still good ooh well, Ill just trash it. I turned on the car once again and noise was gone. That Makita hand grinder comes in mighty handy. Thats Mr. Spring cutter right there
it brings anything down. I was surprised how quick I have got with the removal of the actual blower and installation. I did learn two new tricks now part of the game plan for future removal. after removing all bolts tilt the plate forward and undo the oil return line screw and then the cam sensor. When installing do the same tilt it forward do the oil return screw while the plate is tilted and then put it in place then snap the cam sensor. New tricks fast installation priceless. The alternator screw takes the cake, thats the one that took me the longest, about 6 mins to get it started. Total installation time 3hrs 30mins for removal and installation.

There are mods(ie exhaust/intake/sts/ypipe) and then there are MODS!!!(ie FORCED INDUCTION) most dealerships will either tell you to leave it with them so they can beat on it and then blame you for it or they will just say WTF??

or Maximarider there is a dealer like Nissan in New Orleans who had no heart aches about it. Mardigrasmax bought his Nissan from that dealership as well. Thats one thing I miss about Loiuisiana my Dealership that was my maximas home regardless of the fact that I bought it in Miami. But then again Cumalot is Lucky the Dealership is less then 5 streets away from his house.
