y-pipe=low end torque?

I already have the wsp y-pipe on an auto max but I have been reading some posts lately and am actually wondering if there is paper proof that y-pipes increase low end at all. It definitely pulls quickly at faster higher speeds but I dun think i feel a difference in low end, maybe its cuz im not sensitive enough but I would like to know

Yes, there are plenty of dyno plots that show gains at all rpms, including significant gains at lower rpms. The gains are largest around 4-5000 rpm, though. Sorry, I don't have any links but I'm sure you can find one if you look/search for it.

The Y pipe is not touted as a low-end power gain, sorry; do a search before you buy a mod, if you're not sure how it will affect your car.

The more air the engine needs/can use the more gains it will get from free flowing air into and out of the engine. So an intake and exhaust mod for more air will translate to better hp when the engine can make most use of the extra air-higher rpms or forced induction.

Smaller diameter pipes actually tend to give better low end torque, but the reason the ypipe helps at ALL rpms is due to the removal of the precats. The 2.5" piping helps immensely at high rpms
