Stinky smell coming from max.
Stinky smell coming from max.
I think my heater coil is blown. The coolant level is a bit down and it stinks like a mens urinal in my max. I dont believe anybody peed on my leather seats so im just making sure with other people that the smell is in fact my heater coil. I cant detect the leak anywhere in the car itself, and i have been told to look under the passenger side feet resting place and found nothing. Oh ya the smell is not as bad when i do not use my heat. In fact the smell is basically gone after i have not used the heat for a week. My question is how much will this cost to repair and can i do it myself? And does this have an adverse effect come next summer when im gonna need AC again. Also tomorrow i am trying out the Lysol into the ducts trick and will see if maybe its just burning mold.

Yes well obviously people only read half of what it is i have previously said. I have tried the lysol in the cowl trick and it failed miserably. The urinial smell is back and as strong as ever. what exactly is broken? I believe its my heater block/coil (immigrants told me this so im going by them) Any ideas?
