need brighter blinkers on my I30

i just recently clearned the front corners on my 98 I30 and replaced the 194 clearance bulb and the 1157 blinker bulbs with hyperwhites. the problem is that when I've got my lights on at night the 1157 blinker bulb is so dim that it doesnt even match the rest of my lights. the only time they even look like hyperwhites is when i hit my blinker and they flash bright. does anyone know how to rewire them so they will stay on bright and only flash dim when have the turn signal on.

i have tried searches but found nothing
thanx

u should have uncovered countless posts on how to do this. I'll give you a brief description of what to do:

On the 1157 bulb, there are two nubs around the metal cylinder base.

1. Locate the higher nub and cut it off with a nailclipper.
2. Cover that new hole with electrical tape.
3. Put the bulb back in so that the lower nub goes into the higher nub's place in the bulb socket.

Now enjoy ur bright corners!

i have uncovered countless post of people doing it to their maximas, because maxima's have the seperate orange bumper mounted blinker. but on the infiniti my corner light is also my turn signal unlike the maxima, if i shave one of the nubs it will be bright all the time.. correct? i just want to reverse the wires. the 1157 bulb is a dual fillament bulb, and instead of the small filament being the one that illuminates the corner and the large fillament being the one that blinks during the turn signal, i want the large fillament to illuminate the light and the small fillament to be the one that flashes when i hit my blinker, so that i will have bright white light coming out all the time exept for when i use the blinker and it will blink dim..brght..dim...bright

however, if shaving the nub will make it stay bright and just blink on/off and on/off then you have already answered my question

thanx
