a few questions bout a CAI

hey guys, i just had a few questions on the PR CAI
how big is the hole exactly? 3"? 3.25"? or 3.5"? cuz i need to know in order to know wut size hole saw blade to get
can the apex'i filter attach to the PR CAI? how much better is it than the K&N? whats the apex'i part #?
and also how hard is it to make the CAI into a HAI? is it just removing the long pipe and relocating the filter onto the MAF?
thanx

It's 3.25" but drilling a 3.5" hole isn't going to kill you and actually will give you some leeway if you cut off the mark.

Don't know, probably not much better, don't know.

Easy.

is it just removing the long pipe and relocating the filter onto the MAF?
Yes.

thanx
You're welcome.

You won't gain anything in terms of power by switching from K&N to Apexi. If yu want to switch because of other reasons, like not dealing with the K&N cleaning procedure, then you will benefit.

Yes, just like you said, to convert a CAI to a Hybrid, just get rid of the long pipe that snakes down into the wheel well, and attach the filter right onto the MAF. For the ultimate Hybrid, attach a velocity stack and use the bigger Stillen, or JWT pop style filters.
