is the culprit thy knock sensor?

Here is the story everyone. In the past 4 to 5 months, my MIL light has come on three or four times with the "knock sensor" and "EGR malfunction" numbers. I cleaned my throttle body and posted this dilemma a month or two back. Someone told me it's probably the EGR sensor with a buildup of carbon (or something to that degree). Then tonight, it goes off yet again. I check the codes with my trusty diagnostic tool and it tells me both of these problems again. I reset the MIL and cleared the codes. Then, I scan the ECU again just to see what it comes up with. It says the MIL is off (since I cleared the codes) and then says there is a knock sensor malfunction still. I'm now thinking it is the knock sensor and not the EGR malfunction. So, please post your thoughts and opinions. I am planning on purchasing and replacing the knock sensor as soon as I can. Don't want the car knocking on me. Thanks.

well.if the ecu tell you knock sensor and EGR.. maybe replacing the knock sensor and egr soleniod will solve the problem..
