Max (stock engine) Maxima Power?

I'm playing with the idea of putting a nice big turbo in to my 95 auto maxima (unless someone wants to do a 5 speed swap for me ). What i'm worried about is blowing my daily driver to pieces and walking 8 miles to school for the next 3 years.

So my question. Does anyone know the max amount of power a 95 maxima se is spec'd for? i'm thinking around 350-400 hp but i think i'd be pushing the envelop. I currently have a 16g turbo a friend is selling in mind (1k new in the box) so any help soon would be Sweet.

No one knows for sure, at least I haven't seen any authoritative answers. The conventional wisdom seems to indicate the power range you already had in mind.

What spec sheet are you looking at. Specs ARE 190hp @ 5600rpm, 205lb/ft @ 4000rpm.

turbo will more likely add somewhere close to 40% more power. So add about 76 to 190 and about 266 @ flywheel.

On what boost setting and what turbo. 40% is pretty general.

$1000 is real steep for a 16G. About $300-400 too steep depending if its a big or small 16. You can get a clipped 20G for less than $1100. $1000 for a 16G is a ripoff.

Don't ask me why, but I have heard that the automatic 95-96 Maximas have 190HP, but the 5-speeds have 195HP.
Good news for me, I have a 95 5 spd.

It is funny how everyone thinks there so smart but really they can't even read. I said i was looking for the Max HP a maxima is spec'd for. Not the stock power. Yet and still ppl actually make stupid comments like this. Its bad enough that people don't even bother carefully reading your posts but its worse that people are always so quick to make a stupid comment instead of just being helpful. I love maxima's but i can't say I love all maxima owners. Alot of you are morons and A-holes, No offense to anyone that that doesn't apply to.

P.S. i've figured it out already anyways thanx to OTHER people

The 5 speed is a little lighter than the automatic tranny. Not much but it does make a little diffrence. Plus as everyone knows it shifts faster and revs higher. (according to driver) So it may feel like a bigger gain in power when driving a stick as to an auto. But in 190 H.P. auto and stick.
